Ethan Jano - I'll Be Fine

.
Ethan Jano is certainly a throwback artist. He goes all the way back to Bob Dylan, particularly when Dylan connected with Johnny Cash to create Nashville Skyline. Jano's debut album, I'll Be Fine, is filled with acoustic guitar strummin', wordy lyricism and a folksy overall vibe.

With "I Don't Care," you may be transported back to the 60s, where the folk music revival was in full swing. Jano sings with vocal gusto, to arrangements that many times work with just a strummed guitar and vocal. The album's title track rolls along like a freight train, with Jano musing philosophically about the game of life.

Jano isn't for everybody. If you love modern hip hop, electronic music or just about anything that came after the 60s, I'll Be Fine might sound like a recently recovered historical dusty artifact. However, if you're one that feels many basic musical values have been sacrificed in the name of technological progress of late, this release will make you feel mighty fine and justified for your opinions.

The album is set for release on February 10th. More details here.
