Bono is a fabulous person. he truly does care about the world. If he hadn't had the money and fame, no one would ahve listened to him, and since he does have the fame, some people think he's a prat and just out for more recognition. Bono has all the recognition he needs, and he's really a beautiful person. Give him a break guys :)

Don't give me any of this cr*p that U2 suck cos they don't. I bet all the people who have dissed this are all fans of sh*te bubblegum pop and/or noisy "bad attitude" rock music who just don't want to admit that there are actually bands that make a decent effort with their music!

God it's good to have some real music by real musicians... I'm so tired of hearing boyband crap or "My mother wouldn't buy me a happy meal when I was a kid so now I'm gonna go hurt someone" black pseudo-rock. U2 brings the art of the good song back to mainstream radio. Hallelujah! For those who think all the songs sound the same, listen again as almost all of them are unique... the only connection is that they are all definitely U2.

I must be missing something. I think Bono's voice is grating. Lyrically, U2 doesn't do anything for me or challenge me. Musically, they bore the cr*p out of me.
What is their great attratction to the MTV masses???

any great music has subtetly as an underlying
quality, and U2 continues this tradition on this release. the sounds, melodies,
and rhythms they achieve are rich and textured. for those who say they
sound the same song after song, you are right. but that's a little like
looking at all of monet's paintings and noticing only the similarities
in style. pay some attention to composition, too, and you may see and hear
something nice!

have values? If you're going to knock U2, try to come up with something
legitimate. Otherwise you're simply an exercise in stupidity.

to criticize is relatively easy and, perhaps especially in your case, quite
an unimpressive talent. Create. Do something other than stand back like
your opinion counts as authoritative.

U2? I agree with what people are saying
here all of their songs sound the same. Edge's guitar riffs are all so
similar the only thing that sounds different are the lyrics. INXS? Give
me a break they have always sucked. Collective Soul their first two cd's
were great. Their third and fourth were kind of weak and their latest one
just plain sucks worst than BSB! The worst piece of sh1t I've heard all
year. CS was once a great band but they gave up playing instruments and
use those stupid syths and it sucks!
