Nonpoint - Statement
Label: MCA Records
Rating:

Tracks:
1 Mindtrip
2 Victim
3 Endure
4 Back Up
5 What a Day
6 Misled
7 Doublestakked
8 Orgullo
9 Years
10 Hive
11 Levels
12 Tribute

Nonpoint’s debut “statement” gets in your face the first second you push play and doesn’t let go for the entire 12 tracks. Mixing the bone crushing riff’s that put bands like Megadeth on the map back in the 80’s, with melodically aggressive vocals Nonpoint creates what is indeed a album years ahead of their contemporaries. At times the songs touch upon an almost psychedelic quality in vocal and wha-wha guitar at others things turn downright funky. The sounds Nonpoint create just might be called Acid-funk-thrash- Metal. But what really sets them aside from other modern metal bands is the songs don’t substitute melody for aggression. You’ll bang your head, but you may also find yourself screaming along. It’s good fun for the whole dysfunctional family!

“Statement” is one the best modern metal albums to hit the streets in years.

Elias-Brandon, you should really hear their new cd Recoil, its awesome. They go back to more of their older sound instead of continuing to soften. Go buy it.

Posted by Elias-Brandon:
Even though nonpoint is f*CKIN awesome they're on their way to becoming the next incubus.... dont get me wrong incubus rules but they're not what they used to be.... Statement reminds of an album called S.C.I.E.N.C.E. ring a bell.... now look at them.....doesn't compare even though they're still my fav band... later

Posted by fetisha:
I can't find the lyrics to Orgullo anywhere, can somebody post if they know where to find them.

Posted by the goddess trog:
I understand not what is the point, non? Nirvana was better before they changed their name.

What a Day rules in concert and their bassist is soooo good.

Posted by Penis:
i think that Picky is more than a little retarded. Nonpoint is awesome, but he was right that "what a day" is awesome

Posted by Picky Pricky:
haha, nonpoint really sucks you guys, their only good song is "what a day"

Posted by Amber:

Posted by JAnK:
NonPoint OWnZ yo @$$ get the album, dont be a bum and burn it!

Posted by Disturbed:
I've listened to the majority of metal, hardcore and thrash rock bands ou there. Some bands have real talent, some have mainstream appeal, but they all must bow to Nonpoint. These guys have a message, just listen...

Posted by a deftony:
This CD has gotta be the best to come out in years, and there's a lot of bs out there. Elias's singing is killer and so is Andy's guitar. Every element rocks on every song, especially Doubled Stakked and The Tribute, which gives me the chills everytime I hear it. Rock on Nonpoint!!!

Posted by Jesus "the savior" Christ:
Take it from a religious figure worshipped by 66.6% of the world, this band just plain rocks.

Posted by cuzzin:
nonpoint owns! mindtrip is one bad ass song! great band great album!

Posted by deaTh_Gerbil:
damn, this is the best album ive heard in years. Every single song rocks (some of them in their own sort of disturbed ways). The bass lines mixed with the guitars form a rhythem (is that spelled right?)and sound that could almost be described as "concrete." that is a good thing for those who are wondering. Orgullo definitely rocks a$$ (butt) but so does levels and doublestakked. Victim is probably the most catchy, if u will and and mindtrip is just so hardcore. BUY THIS ALBUM NOW!!

I think Nonpoint should go on tour with one of the more known bands like korn or limp bizkit so they can become known. This is my favorite band and the tribute is my favorite song especially when the time on the song gets to 2:52.

Posted by sabbath:
Nonpoint F*CKIN RULES! To the p*ssy "speedy", you say they have no talent, well where is your band and your record deal a$$hole.

Posted by jamie:
i love nonpoint. they kick so much ass live!

Posted by M.F. pitbull:
With all this new sell-out l.b crap out there it is hard to find a band like Nonpoint they actually have talent, and can put out a fat sound if ya dont like them there is a part of my anatomy you are welcome to lick.

Posted by Mars-MAN:
If you don't like NonPoint, you're a reject. This band's got it all, incl. the kitchen sink. Give 'em a try; you could do much worse if you tried much harder . . .

Posted by The Pope:
This CD hits you in the face when you start playing it. Talent - they have plenty of it. The different paces and sounds make this bands one of the best new bands out there. Lokk forward to seeing them live!!!

Posted by MuDvAyNe:
After the very first song I was completely in love with this f**king CD, Anyone who doesn't like Nonpoint should look for a quarter to buy a taste for music. This CD iz the Jamz -MuDvAyNe

Posted by Shorty:
this is a great CD I look forward to hearing them clean up the CD and for godsakes stop changing the pace and sounds so much but overall a great CD.

Posted by Crdeath27:
Very good cd. Not your typical hardcore band that you'd expect to see these days. They're more of a blend of old school metal and hardcore with a touch of something else I can't quite put my finger on. Excellent CD.

Posted by Speedy:
Nonpoint should be called nontalent. They are one of the worst trendoid bands around. I can't believe you actually liked this crap!

Posted by Moshcow:
Nonpoint hits they blew spineshiitt off the stage

Posted by Dr Fever:
'tribute' is one of the best songs ever! i love it! this album kicks the proverbeal elephants ass
