Welcome me
Italian songwriter Emiliano Santoro
and his bandmates in No-Fly Zone gives us a refreshing international take
on modern rock. Their self released EP give us a glimpse of the potential
of the band. The EP contains 4 well-crafted modern rockers that stay close
to the classic alternative/goth rock sound. Tonight has a nice hook
to it with some great lead guitar work. Nothing is Nothing and Yellow
are a little slower and come across as The Cult meets The Cure with some
nice clean guitar tracks that keeps the songs flowing. The epic Welcome me
clocks in at six minutes and has an almost progressive rock feel to it
that captures a Moody Blues meets Vast sound. The bridge is sonic exploration
of melody. Unfortunately, there are only four songs; at the end you
are left craving more. This is a band to keep an eye on if you like the
classic alternative rock style.
