My first encounter with the girls of the
band was seeing them on some really bad music program on TBN, g-rock
which played Christian rock music, some was pretty good, others were downright
awful. I remember one episode was hosted by the halo friendlies, and I
frankly thought them to be the biggest dog turd to roll out of scooby doos
butt in a long time. So I was a bit excited to hear a new album by them,
to see if hopefully they improved, which it seems that they have.
All in all the album is pretty good, i
say pretty good because its not really to my taste, but Ill admit i listened
to the album more than I will readily admit. The biggest complaint I have
with this album is that the songs pretty much sound very, very similar.
Aside from the last track, the music is your typical poppy but sort of
punk sound. but more of a throw back to the Go Gos or early Bangles, than
to the friendlies blink 182,or Avril Lavigne contemporaries.
The song lyrics are mainly about relationship
kind of things, which to me is a big no no, but the vocals are sung with
an almost sugary sweetness that makes them digestible, these girls have
great voices and they really add something that the songs otherwise would
not have, again the vocals, like the music itself is comparable to the
Go Gos or the early Bangles.
Honestly I cant say that I like the album,
but I also cant say that I dont.

it really annoys me how every1 treat halo friedlies different and as total "pop" punk i think they rock and no i don't listen to all that crap like avril lagnvine and good charlotte as for saying that their songs are mainly about relationshipps and that's a ''big no no'' well heloo that's what us teens think about and that's the audince they're are trying to target, and in my opion they are doin very well!

the halo friendlies have a different beat tha most of the bands that call themselves "punk" today (good charlotte hah! yeah right!) i mostely listen to the old stuff like the cure and the doors because the punk today is pretty much crap. but this band really got my attention and their great

Yes the halo's are same 'ol same 'ol pop punk, but what they do they do well....they will prevail in their scene mark my words.
the bassist is a midget,the lead singer a model,the guitarist a latin sex goddess, I'm not sure who the new drummer is but the old one always looked sickly too much kittylicken...I think she passed up her chance..........she'll just become one of my cries.

This album kicks ass and so do the girls! They have become a definite favorite of mine, and inspired my sister and I to start a band. Overall, I like their music and they have rockin personalities too.
