New England hard-core fans know Closer
Than Kin for their ferocious brand of heavy rock. Dead Flowers for a Dying
Lover the new EP from Closer Than Kin shows just why they are considered
the band to watch on the hard-core scene. They pull no punches and stay
true to the genre and provide some kick ass high caliber songs that leave
you feeling like youve been beaten upside the head with a lead pipe.
Their mix of metal style guitars and hard core screams set them apart from
the poseurs running around the country calling themselves the genuine article.
Think DI mixed with the heavier moments of the Step Kings. If you
like your music heavy then this is a CD you should definitely check out.

Closer than kin was a band that came from Cape Cod. Same place as me. they were my first show on the Cape and since that time i have been to 24 of their shows. they make good music. are good entertainers and are basically nice guys. they're a mix of every kind of music you could need and the melodic parts are freakin awesome. they also do great covers of songs by the misfits. skulls being the best one. in my opinion. all their cds are worth owning even if you only like a few songs from each one. Dead flowers for a dying lover being my favourite. if you ever get the chance to hear them they are definitley worth it.
