Goo Goo Dolls
The Goo Goo Dolls rolled into Chicago to
do a private show on April 18th at the Park West as a radio promotion with
WTMX 101.9 fm.
The station gave various winners tickets to see this private hour-long
performance in support of their new CD Let Love In.
They performed a variety of songs off of
their new CD including "Stay With You", "Strange Love", "Without You Here",
"Become", "Better Days", "Can't Let It Go", "Let Love In" and their cover
version of Supertramp's "Give A Little Bit," which breathed a new life
into a well know hit.
While the Goo's played a few of their hits
such as "Slide", "Black Balloon", "Broadway", and "Smash," the crowd was
definitely eager to hear more of the songs that they were used to hearing
and were familiar with but, with Johnny Rzeznik being the consummate front-man
working the intimate crowd consisting of about 500 people, with the majority
of whom are of the female persuasion, the crowd was still ga-ga for Goo
Goo.
