Wild Sweet Orange

It was a cool day on May 13, 2008, in Chicago.
The rain was falling but it was warm and hot in the Metro on Clark St.
The Metro was sold out for the Augustana show and while fans waited for
their band to start, they were treated to two little unknown opening acts.
David Ford and Wild Sweet Orange. I missed David's show due to traffic
and can't elaborate on how David performed. But, I did make it for Wild
Sweet Orange. The crowd was lackluster until they played their last 3
songs. The first of the 3 songs had David
Ford joining WSO on stage. The crowd got into a frenzy at that point and
the energy seemed to rise with a big finish.
I feel that Wild Sweet Orange had gained
some new fans in Chicago. And now Chicago may became their favorite place
to play in.

at 12:30pm on August 3, 2008, during Lollapalooza.
