Yes Britney's remake is bad enough to make the list but it wasn't out yet when this list was made. It will be on the next one!

Jules
Where's Britney Spears' "(I can't get no) Satisfaciton."? It is bad enough to maake a chart.

emmerbean
I totally agree on the remake of amer. pie by Madonna. It royally sucked, actually it was the epitome of suck. Then again that's just my opinion...

cool gurl
Limpy biscuit sucks, man! After what he(fred durst)said to Scott stapp(Creed),and even before that I hate limp bizkit! Limp bizkit should face the fact that creed are more popular than them!!

nutty tart
Fith by limp bizkit is 1 of my fave songs by them but i think that madonnas, american pie totally licked ass!

D.
Mariah C. should stop singing! If you've heard her version of 'Against all Odds' ya know what i'm talking about! It s*cks!

Al
One of the best covers I've heard was Die,Die, My Darling of the misfits, covered by Metallica. Its justs sounds so raw, and Metallica is one of the few groups that can cover songs really well.

zipper head
sheryl crow's sweet child really does stink! just got it off napster and holy sh!t it's nuthin compared to good old guns n roses! *sigh* axl rose ;)

GOOD RECENT COVERS: The Donna's remake of Too Fast for Love; Zeke's remake of Shout it out Loud. BEST REMAKES OF ALL TIME: Patti Smith's remake of Because the Night; Any remake of MC5's Kick out the Jams: the greatest song of all time, it's impervious to vandalism; combine that with the fact that if you're incisive enough to throw props to the MC5 (Bad Brains with Henry Rollins and Blue Oyster Cult spring immediately to mind), it's a safe bet you're not gonna mess it up; Any remake (Ram Jam, Young Fresh Fellows, etc.) of Leadbelly's Black Betty: once again, it's hard to mess up the really good stuff. STRANGEST REMAKE: Fleetwood Mac's remake of Judas Priest's Green Manalishi

smeghead
The Damned's Elouise is just plain class. limp bizkit? who the smeg is limp bizkit???? Antinowhere league's paint it black 'rocks'. Well, it's better than the Stone's. Just.

pinkpanther
limb bizzzzzket rock,,,haha, hehe,,, you like pop or garage you suck the limp dik.

Reality czech
Best cover (and by best I mean most improved) was "Blinded by the Light". Springsteen was good in his day, but his original blew. Worst: Speaking of blowing, Britney "Silicone" Spears. All I gotta say is, she must give some damn fine head for some record exec to consider her. I mean, Madonna sucked, but she knew she sucked & worked at it. Britney, damn, every time I hear "Lucky" I'm lookin' for that drowning cat...IiiIIIsssNNN't she LuuuUeyuuuUUUckKKY .. tell you what, baby, pick a key, any key, and stay in it. Holy cow! No wonder they turn her mike off. You want the Britney Spears experience? Drag your fingernails across a chalkboard while watching "Baywatch". Same thing.

Esp
You rock man. Everything you said was true. Rock on dude. Limp fans are wanna be rock fans. Limp sucks.

yetti
worst cover is sherl crowes remake of dyer maker by led zepplein

yetti
dave matthews cover of all along the watchtower is the best cover

Lindsey
Also, Fred Durst is right. F*CK ALL OF YOU NEGATIVE A$$HOLES! Who cares if a remake "sucks" its all in the name of FUN! Rock on! Oh yeah, for the guy who said that most of Limp Bizkit fans can't spell the band's name. Here you go, L I M P B I Z K I T.

Lindsey
Who the hell are you to judge someone else's music? No one, you or I, can judge any kind of music. That would be like judging someone else's passion and emotions that you totally know nothing about. Don't diss what you can't even begin to understand. Music is expression and I admire anyone who can create it. Anyone who can write, play, or just totally get into what you love, I ADMIRE YOU! Don't let your passion die just because someone tries to beat you down! We all rock! No matter what music we like.

T-bone
best cover was Santana's remake of Fleetwood Mac's Black Magic Women the worst is a tie between madonna and britney spears they were both totally cheese.

METAL MAN
One of the best covers i have heard recently was dope's cover of "you spin me round"; a totally worhtless song from the 80's made good. the worst? hmmm... it's a toss-up between britney spears' cover of satisfaction and madonna's cover of american pie utter blasphemy if i ever heard it

Francesca
the best cover I heard was "Last Caress" by Misfits, covered by AFI. The most horrible cover I ever heard was Offspring's cover of "Totalimmortal" by AFI.

Bobz
yo people, i have one thing to say..(or maybe a few things, depending on how long u can stand my babling)..the best covers ever were made by aerosmith-- "come together" and "rockin' pneumonia and the boogie woogie flu"..man, those are awesome even though some people ain't educated enough to know those covers if u get what i mean *hint-hint*

They call me Oscar
i was searching for nirvana MP3's.. how the hell did i get here.. but i say this. LIMP BIZKIT SUCKS.. hehehe no, not really. theyre fans are lame as hell though, especially those that think *faith* is a meaningful song, sheesh. Yes, im opinionated, with a capital R, for RECTUM. oh yeah, best cover ever? hmm. dunno. Oh yeah, Kurt, bizkit is not hardcore, theyre more *pussy ass core* hehe.

Vyra
This site is cool.Keep up the cool work

justin
i think the best cover or remake of a song was done by orgy remaking the song blue monday. that was a tight ass remake! dope did a pretty good job on you spin me round too.

Rusty
all you punk rockers out there kick maijor a** and let the life of rock live on! R.E.C.

MM
The Best cover is "Summer Breeze" by Type O Negative. They took a completly worthless song and made it great.Any cover song of the Misfits blows. Why mess with perfection?

gabriel
How could you forget Britney Spears' cover of "Satisfaction"? That was truly awful!

geek
i agree wit u 'my name'..TEENY BOPPERS SUCK

ParcaMortem
How could you not include Brittney Spears cover of "Satisfaction"? That one gets my vote for worst song of the last 3 years. Even Vanilla Ice did a better version! And L.B.'s "Faith" cover is cool, particularly live.

kurt
well i like limpbizkit so much and i think ther one of the best hardcore band in universe

Rocker
NOFX's own music sucks so how the hell can they do a decent cover?

by my name
who agrees with TEENY BOPPERS SUCK?

a punk
linp bizkit isnt that good get over them. NOFX however can never do a bad song even if they tried.

a punk
linp bizkit isnt that good get over them. NOFX however can never do a bad song even if they tried.

squeek
i think the guy that said nofx remake of vincent sucked is a douch bag

S2GO
Britney Spears - Satisfaction (Rolling Stones Cover) Bloody f__king horrible. Keith Richards even said so!!! Also Madonna cover Don McLean's American Pie That absolutely sucked! Especially the video in which she tried to look sexy and imitate Britney.

anghel
i don't know so much about remakes , but one that was really lame is the cover that puff daddy make to kashmir by led zeppellin . God, i'm not such a big fan of led, but when i heard kashmir and after come with me, i thought puff screw for good the song , he should be executed for this crime !!! Even that, i'm still thinking what the ---- happen with Jimmy Page, does he was starving, do puff kiss his ass or kiss his dick or what, i guess he did it for money , but if i were Jimmy, i would take off my name of it

EvIl_InSiDe_666_1985
SLAYER'S version of that exploited song w/ice T rules and so does their cover of that old venom song. Fu*k you

J J
i think MxPx kicks a$$.all this pantera and metalica $h!t $uck$ nutt$.people need to listen to real music.the 80s are over move on b!t*h. thats about all i have to say

Mike Rakhabit
The worst nofx cover song isn't last caress by the misfits, it's go your own way, by fleetwood mac. It sucks, but it's hilarious at the same time

T-bone
Harley r u stoned? Hole's cover of gold dust women is right up their with britney and madonna as the WORST covers of all time. Courtney is NO Stevie Nicks. Stevie can sing and Courtney can't. That cover made me physically ill when I heard it.

HarleyQ666
SH!t I always forget something. Dweezil Zappa's "Baby One More Time" cover actually made the song bearable. Hole's "Gold Dust Woman" is good too and so's Nirvana's version of "My Sharona", even though I hesitate to mention Nirvana and Hole in the same sentence, but that's another long and sad story...so I think I'll take a break now.

HarleyQ666
Whoops, forgot one more thing--Papa Roach. "Last Resort" is okay, even though they ripped off Green Day's "Brain Stew", which in turn ripped off Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train", but my God do they suck live....

HarleyQ666
Judging from the posts I assume a lot of you are metal heads, or at least well rounded musically. I'll have to agree with a lot of you. Sheryl Crow, how dare you rip off Axl Rose, you foolish unoriginal woman. Axl's an @$$hole but he's got rock classics, what do you have besides an annoying voice (moreso than Axl's) and a poem by some unknown writer as your first big hit? Speaking of unoriginality, Kid Rock must have several of those bones in his body. "OH LOOK AT ME I'M WRITING A SONG ABOUT HOW I BECAME PLATINUM SEVEN TIMES I AM A STAR NOW!!!!" Please, go play with your midget. Britney Spears covering the Stones??! What's next, Nsync singing "Light My Fire"?! And Puff Daddy is lucky enough to be alive knowing that he ripped off not one but TWO classics, "Kashmir" and "I'll Be Watching You". Forget the whole weapons charge, they should arrest him for being a waste. Madonna, while I like her, really should've known better than to cover "American Pie". Like Limp Bizkit, don't like George Michael, therefore "Faith" isn't their best. Save Ferris' "Come on Eileen"...Dexy's Midnight Runners were a one hit wonder for a reason, no need to steal the last ounce of their fame by remaking their only hit into crap. Covers are good only when they're well done, anyway. Metallica's "Turn the Page" is a good example. Others would be Fear Factory's "Cars" and Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Love Rollercoaster". But Jesus Christ, Kid Rock...I don't know how you befriended Metallica but consider yourself the luckiest son of a bitch in the world. And hey, it's called modesty, it's called originality, get some of that.

wessidewes
Worst Cover: Limp Bizkit's ATTEMPT at "Opiate" by Tool. Best Cover: Manson's version of "I Put A Spell On You"

MothaF*ckinFalcoGirl
Definitely Christina Aguilera's cover of Etta James' song "At Last." She is always bragging in interviews about "how good" her cover of it is, and how it is a "blues song." This is not a blues song at all, it is obviously a classic soul song with a blues tinge to it. Christina's version is lame and dry, as she tries to fill the song with "heyyy whoa"s over and over in a lame attempt to show off her bony vocal cords.

greeno
mga kupal kayong lahat!

Moose
I would say that Domino's Deep Dish pizza beats out any other contenders. Pizza Hut is too greasy.

MerrDawg
I would have to agree that madonna's cover of american pie is bad, but not up there. however, there are some worse ones. i can see clearly now by Johnny Nash, Satisfaction by Brittney Spears, Less than Jake's cover of Hungry Like The Wolf, any cover by puff daddy, Will Smith's Just the 2 of us, satisfaction by brittney spears, rockstar's Du Hast (They don't even pronounce the german in the music correctly either.)

Ye©aT§
that Pu$$yass whiny adam duritz doin the cover of Skynards "Sweet home Alabama" Adam duritz of Counting Crows chokes on dick

orangetripGIRL
Good Cover Songs: *Uptown Girl -Me First & The Gimme Gimmies *Ordinary World -Fenix Tx *99 Red Balloons -Goldfinger *Blue Moon -MxPx *I Want It That Way -Allister Check em out. Seriously.

HARDCORE MATT
Worst cover ever Highway to Hell by Marilyn MaNSON

Fidgit
"Planet caravan" by Pantera and "Cars" by Fear factory are great remakes.

monkeyfoot
The best cover:NIN's remake of Devo's "Head like a hole".

Blackadder44
I prefer Pizza Hut and East of Chicago.

IH8Rednex
Hey Guys, since everyone is pretty much saying the same stuff, how about a new topic? Who makes the best pizza? I say Donato's! 8P

Euthanasia
Half you trendy "U R Gay! So and so rulz!" schmitzes wouldn't have a clue about this remake, but I truly believe that the best remake I've ever heard is when FenixTX remade Duran Duran's "Ordinary World." 99% of you probably knew nothing of them back then, but before they sold out (when they were called Riverfenix), they were a halfway decent band. Props, Antimusic.com Durst IS the worst :)

You
NEways whoever said Ironman by Busta Rymes sucked the worst was right, Garage Inc sucks my testicular portions of my body, I tried to sell both discs to some dumb@ss for a buck, but he wasn't as dumb as I thought, maybe I'll just throw it away, they should have warning labels on CDs that suck .

Monkey
#1Vinilla ice,To Cold,he redid to cold a turnrd it into a hard core song.It's hilarious!#2Limp Bizket,Mission Immpossible#3Madonna'American Pie#4Any song redone by Puff Daddy#5Lenny Kravits,American Women

xXxSergioxXx
oh, and any misfits cover other than the ones done by Metallica.

Harried Howie
Three absolute horrors: 1. Pearl Jam's cover of J. Frank Wilson's "Last Kiss." The most unlistenable song to ever hit the pop charts. 2. Lenny Welch's cover of Neil Sedaka's "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do." Sedaka felt it necessary to re-cover the song. 3. The Flamingoes' version of the much-recorded "I Only Have Eyes for You." Mind-numbing. Most unnecessary cover: The Fugees' recording of "Killing Me Softly with His Song." Not bad, but it pales in comparison to Roberta Flak's version. Best cover: Jerry Butler/Betty Everett of Everly Brothers "Let It Be Me." Best cover artist: Luther Vandross.

Bri
Haven't seen Fiona Apple's remake of Beatle's "Across the Universe" here yet...did I miss it?

kelleybean
And this one I forgot: it's not really a cover, but what is WITH Jessica Simpson taking the music from "Jack & Diane," and making it into a dance song?

NIPPLE BRITE
Fred durst = S.h.i.t he thinks he can go off talking all his s.h.i.t, preachen all his bullsh.i.t, making "music" and he thinks hes on top of the world. fred is a panzy as.s mother fuc.ker who cant write music, sing or satisfy the worlds need for goodtunes. when are these bands gonna grow some balls and kick freds a.s.s.? i mean come on, system of a down, slipknot, marilyn manson, trent reznor.. . the list goes on. its about time somone snapped on his trendy "im cool with a red hat" pus.sy as.s. f.u.ck fred durst DIE DIE DIE KITTIE - GODSMACK - CREED - & BOYBANDS CAN DIE, FADE AWAY! death metal forever. FEED ON THE DEAD

kelleybean
I just heard Soundgarden's remake of the Beatle's "Come Together." I had to turn it off.

Hazman
The Madonna version of American pie could not have been worse!! I think changing a song's genre like that should be a criminal offence!!! The only cover I like is the Foo Fighters and Brian May doing Pink Floyd's "Have A Cigar".

xXxSergioxXx
What about Megadeth's version of Anarchy In the UK by the Sex Pistols, now that suct ass didn't it?

JustCallmeAL
Megadeth's version of Paranoid. Right when Dave sings he ruins it. I laugh everytime I hear it. Hell the drum beats not even close to sounding right. Overall bad cover.

WickedDaytripper
Ok, Dr. I do like the Original Faith by George, and I love the Limp Version. As they say, different strokes, fair enough. I dont like the 5 version of queens classic. Thats downright evil. And I really dunno if its a cover, but Ol' Evil Eye by ICP on Poe's classic. Thats was good, but is it a cover?

Sarafiz
Personally, one of the worst song remakes of all time is britneys Spears' version of "Satisfaction" byt the rolling stones. Ah! I mean do artists think they can just add a prefabricated hiphop wannabe beat to a song, get their voice altered in the studio, and sing a song by one of the greatest bands of all time? On the other hand, a good cover of a song was Pearl jams "Last Kiss" originally by J.Frank Wilson. I don tknow if Im the only one but I thought it rocked.

ttamara
personally I really liked the song FAITH .BEFORE limp bizket remade it. I gotta say though that for their style of music they did a damn good job. I HATE .....ABSOLUTELY HATE any kind of Rap (Crap) Music that uses other peoples riffs for their own and put their own words to it....NO F****ING ORIGINALITY. Anyone who can keep a simple 4/4 beat can write a poem or story and TALK the words to music. It doesn't take a goddamned genius. I do, however, have less attitude towards Will Smith as most of his songs are original and he does a CLEAN JOB of them. He is a decent guy on and off the radio play. The rest can go straight down the toilet where they belong.

kaley
I have been a fan of limp bizkit's for a few years now..the first time i heard them, it was "faith" i liked/like the song alot..i don't know why so many paople rag on limp bizkit..their a great band!!

aztec69
Best Cover: Cowboy Junkies cover of Gram Parsons' "Ooh, Las Vegas." Worst Cover: Anybody who covers Hendrix.

ks
you guys have no idea - the worst song of all time is "words" by someone called FR David. See if you can find an mp3 somewhere - slitting your wrists is a good alternative to listening to this. peace.

Sarah
"We will rock you" (Queen's original) by FIVE! Sh*t!

JIMEE
Brittney's "SATISFACTION" is the number one of sh*t. She raped the song very badly, dumba$$!! What next? N'Sync covering "Angel of death"?Puff Daddy's and Busta Rhymes samplings of the pioneers of metal and heavy music(LED ZEPPELIN, BLACK SABBATH). Good covers are Metallica's "AM I EVIL" and Slayer's "In a gadda da vida"

gibbo
Bizkit's faith kicks ass you demented slice of monkey brain.

raed
song

by my name!!!
aw man......the worst song is on the lines of faith!!!! its that stupid version with everlast!!!! that has got to be the most boring/lame/stupid/talentless piece of $hit ive heard

name withheld
worst covers: Sh!tney Spears destroying the Stones'Satisfaction (please bitch, go after Imagine next), Christina Aguilera's version of Etta James'At Last. Sid Vicious killing Frank Sinatra's My Way. best covers: Santana's versions of Fleetwood Mac's Black Magic Woman and the Salsa tune Oye Como Va (bet you forgot he didn't write those, eh?), anything on the Ella Fitzgerald songbooks, and Jimi Hendrix's version of the Star Spangled Banner (how's THAT for an encore!)

Matt
There are tons of great covers and just as many horrible ones. Some good ones: GNR "Knockin'"., Clapton "I shot the Sherriff" and i think "Cocaine" was a cover too. hendrix "watchtower" and "hey joe". that's just to name a few huge ones. also there have been some great live covers done by the dead and phish. Blue Floyd has done some excellent "blues interpretations" of old Pink Floyd songs that are really incredible. I guess Jimmy Page/Black Crowes is a semi-cover band (I saw them in concert and they were great), but they do have two good covers on the album (BB King and Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well"). I think STP's "Dancing Days" rivals teh original (it gets more radio time too) Some Terrible Covers include Sheryl Crow's "Sweet Child" she also did a horrible version of Dyer Maker". also not a big limp bizkit fan. madonna's American Pie practically destroyed the song even though McLean thought it was great. Many more as well

J
yeah, they all suck... one song which sucks beyond the original, in my humble opinion, is "how soon is now" by the smiths...

abe
not a "bizkit head", but part time fan; i agree with you totally damnit! although i have heard some nice remakes, why remake songs anyway? it shows that you cant write them as well.

KOM3000
Ugly Kid Joe's version of NIB was pretty good... Corrosion of Conformity's version of Lord Of This World was cool too...

KOM3000
So many Limp Bizkit fans don't even know how to spell the band's name. They suck ass big-time anyway. Moving on... Metallica's version of Sabbra Cadabra was pretty cool. But the worst cover ever is Cannibal Corpse's version of Zero the Hero. Oh dear...

In response : BIG BOOTY BIRTHA
You're right. Limp Biskitz is a terrible band. Maybe they would be OK if I was a teeny bopper deluded by top 40 rip-off-pop.

Vito
It's nice.
