Rap is becoming more and more popular
everyday, and I still don't get it. I seems to be a short cut to talent
to me.
It was a novelty when it started out, but
now people have built million dollar careers with the equivalent of reciting
"Mary had a little ho" to a drum machine. For the Top 5 this month I take
a look at the world of Rap and what it appears to take to make it "big".
All the old rules of the music biz are out the window, so if you aren't
a real musician and want a career, you might give the following a try.

5) Learn how to rhyme or you can end everything
in "Yo". Either will work. (Tip: Yo does rhyme with ho)
4) Make an enemy out of a well known rapper.
They will dis you in their raps and give you instant notoriety
3) Steal from the best. Find a killer classic
rock song, sample it and rap stupid lyrics over it. As long as people recognize
the original song, you got a hit.
2) Gather a group of hangers on, call them
an entourage, posse or bodyguards. Then "chill out" at night clubs and
wait for one of them to pull a gun on somebody for a real or imagined slight.

I'm sure this page has had over 100,000 at least. This has been up forever.
Maybe because Rap is so easy to do that is why you came to similar conclusions.

Though I believe in freedom of expression,
I think it sure is coincidental that each person here that has responded
favorably to rap music cannot construct a single sentence in english. Why
is that? I'm not against rap, just curious. What I mean is how can you
be taken seriously when you can't get a point across in an intelligent
fashion. I'm sure to get a lot of swearing responses which just makes those
people look stupid that they can't think of anything better to say. Oh
well...

i think you are a stupid *sshole. everyone
don't feel the way you do about rap. Rap do have some meaning behind it
lyrics unlike rock and roll all they do is scream.
