"Current girlfriend of AJ"
I think the Backstreet Boys should have their story told because they have accomplished a lot in 6 years and more than any "boy band" has ever accomplished and they 5 good ,hard working guys who don't do drugs:they don't even smoke. So i guess i made my point about them . Please don't refer to them has a Boy Band but simply has a Band. Thanks and please condider my opinion. Please

THE CURE!!!! THE CURE!! THE CURE!!!! THE CURE!!!!THE CURE!!!!THE CURE!!!!

LimpGirl
I really agree with STP and some others, but one artist who I'd like to see and would be suitable(Come on, they did Faith Hill!) is FIONA APPLE. Another thing: why wasn't she on the top 100 artists of the 90's? And how does Blink 182 and the Goo Goo Dolls beat Garbage and Bad Religion? I just had to complain cuz I didn't know where else to do so!

Keavin
Sergio The Clash were on about 6 months ago. great episode too bad you missed it.

xXxSergioxXx
The Sex Pistols may have (arguably) started punk rawk, but one of the true pioneers of punk were The Clash! In the good ol' days of punk, they'd follow the Sex Pistols around and wait til after the shows and beat the $hit out of them because they were such sell outs. The Clash deserves to be on "Behind the Music" more than anyone. Joe Strummer had Stage Presence to spare, and they just plain kicked some punk rawk ass!

ME 15/f
I think they should have *N Sync on behind the music. Because, they deseve their success!!! And they are he best group out there!!! They aren't just a dumb boyband like the backstreet boys. They are VERY talented! Awesome voices and dance moves! I went to 9 of there concerts in the last 2 summers! And it was awesome!!!

Megadeth
A band that has caused a controversial stir in music since the 1980's with their well thought out lyrics. One time dave mustaine punched james hetfield in the face because james hetfield told daves pitbulls to get off a car. Dave mustaine rules.

Jack
The Replacements! THEY should have been first.

Chris
I think korn should be on.... their story constists of touring, sex, drinking, touring and more drinking. Oh and Jon's childhood, if you don't already know that story, you should

Juvenile
ANY BOY BAND, I DON'T CARE WHO, THEY ARE BITCHES WHO CAN'T SING.

NIRVANA!!! its so obvious....they're the band of, and the musical "story" of the '90s! VH1 has got to do them soon

Lazer Wulf
Winger. Poison. Flock of Seaguls. Lief Garrett. Gwar. Motley Crue. Metallica. Winger. Duran Duran. Eminem. ICP. Elton John. President Clinton. George W. Bush. RidahNY. Dr. Fever. The Rock. Metal Wolf
I say that Judas Priest, Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Sepletura, or the Scorpions. Deny or agree but that is what I think.

Who Likes R.E.M.?

name withheld
You probably don't know who they are but the 13th Floor Elevators have the most fu ked up rock story of any band I've ever heard of, ever. They're the first band to call their music psychedelic, even before the Haight Ashbury scene did. Roky Erickson taught Janis Joplin to sing, and then got shock treatment in a funny farm for smoking pot in Texas in the 60s! He's a certified loony tune now but also a legend. And Emperor, the black metal band from Norway, would be good since two of them killed guitarist Euronymous from Mayhem and they also burned churches. Another one would be Danny Gatton, the most amazing guitarist you've never heard of. He killed himself over music industry politics. Syd Barrett (Pink Floyd's answer to Roky Erickson), The Flatlanders, Steve Earle, Frank Zappa (he ruled the alternative rock scene in the 60s no matter what you heard about the Velvet Underground; and also for his PMRC hearings). Miles Davis would have to have his own weekly series for all the stuff he did. And they'd have to make a whole new channel just to talk about the different people around the Byrds (CSNY, Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris, The Eagles, Neil Young).

Death Head
Pantera, they probably have tons of great stories about getting f *cked up backstage, Phil going through drug and alcohol abuse, their musical infuences and how they've influenced other bands, hanging out with David Allen Co., tour stories, and how and why they've stayed old school, and how they've retained they've popularity.

YOYO
garbage, nirvana,hole foo fighters....

Patty
NIRVANA !!!!!!

max
Pantera..

Batboy (AGF)
Holy crap! I thought I was the only one to actually even HEAR of Center until you wrote in. You actually played with them? What years were you in? The roach years? Gawd, I loved their first music, and even some of the later stuff... "Cries Unanswered" is definately one of my favorites. "War Hate and Prejudice", "Hell", and my all time favorite "As the Bells Toll Now". If you have a tape could I have a copy? I can't believe it. It's true though, these guys never "sold out" which is probably why you never heard of them... isn't that ironic... in order to actually get heard (ie radio play, exposure on TV etc.) and have your music actually out there to be gotten you have to "sell out". Oh well. CENTER IS FOREVER!!! and... Beware the bats!!! ^V^ ^V^ ^V^

RidahNY
The band that everyone loved to hate that virtually changed heavy metal as we know it is still currently ignored by VH1 for a Behind the Music. I spent 4 tough years playing in "Center" and it was a rocky road but we still managed to make a dent in the metal genre. One reason why i am very proud of "Center" is because we never sold out which seems to be everyone's #1. worry that posts comments on this site. Everyone is so concerned over who supposedly sold out and who is on MTV etc. Well "Center" never really caught on much out of Japan or Eastern Europe so none of you probably have an idea who i am talking about but if people knew our story. VH1 would be knocking down our doors looking for the scoop.

Professor
I think they should do a show about Ministry,Skinny Puppy, and Bauhaus. These guys with a strong nod to Psychic TV and Anti-nowhere League and others are responsible for a huge amount of music out now(although some of it is terrible). Bands like NIN, Orgy

The Anti-Pop
They might have already done it (I don't watch that show very much) but it would be great to see Pearl Jam. Those guys would be perfect; the whole Ticketmaster thing, the drug problems and the recent deaths at their concert in Sweden (or somewhere like that). I'd also like to see R.E.M. or Pink Floyd.

RidahNY
Van Halen should be on behind the music. i can give you 100 reasons why they should. They should start with 1974 (club years) up through 2000.

Don W.
Slayer (see this commercial-"thrash metal legends"), Pantera (hear this voiceover-from glam rock to todays leading metal contenders), Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Sepultura (i.e. the dramatic breakup), King Diamond/Mercyful Fate (long history), Death/Control Denied (i.e. battle with cancer), Venom (VH1 could advertise this one as the first "black metal" band), Motorhead, Biohazard

Bad Ronald
Van halen with DLR man! hands down, definitely. Diamond daves ability to have a good time and get the world to party with him, along with Eddies musical integrity was just about the most winningest combination for success in the history of rock n'roll.

ThePinkOne
I have one word: Kiss

Jamie
Guns N' Roses... where the Hell is Axl Rose now?

trey
phish would be perfect.....the best live show in america right now, and the ultimate "jam band!"

Soulight
Ithink it would be SLipnkot , Slayer,PanterA,

SOURCHUX
check out Teabaggers reviews of MOTORHEAD,Nashville Pu$$y, FU MANCHU and Speedealer. And the MISFITS w/ IGNITE and REACH the SKY by clicking on antiReviews (at the top of this page, to the left)

wish i were Axl
Only god know's how much times I've said i'd love to see a Guns N' Roses Behind the Music. They have done it all. The history of the would be a great thing for see. They were very disfunctional, and have a lot of stories to tell. The only problem is gettin' all the band members to speak out (especially Axl), but if he didn't want to it's his own business.

WAYCOOLJR.
I know that VH1 has been showing a portion of KISS ' Second Coming, but they deserve a BTM also. My top 10 for a BTM episode: KISS, VanHalen,RATT, Styx,Loverboy,J Geils Band, Electric Light Orchastra, Pink Floyd, Prince and Cameo...thanks for reading my input

WAYCOOLJR.
I know that VH1 has been showing a portion of KISS '

Robert
and Iron Maiden but that show wouldnt do justice to good bands

Robert
Slayer and Pantera

The One and The Only
I agree with The Band; Add Frank Zappa, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan, and you pretty much cover the most creative people in rock from the late 60's through the 80's, (and the best songwriters).

Bud the Great
The Band - perhaps the greatest, most under-recognized, most talented quintet ever - should have not only a "Behind the Music" - but a full length movie in their honor. Their 1st 2 albums - "Music From Big Pink" and "The Band" are among the best ever released - by anybody!

Axl
Guns n Roses!!!!! they was the greatest band on the history

Slash
Guns n Roses!!!!! should be there, because was the best f@#!!g band on earth

Edison's Medicine
I'd like to see Cheap Trick, Ramones, Tesla, Motorhead, and Mojo Nixon & Skid Roper.

NOSHOW
GREAT WHITE

Amanda
Eminem, thats what I think.

Friend
I think Danzig should be on BMT because everyone likes his music, but no one wants to admit it.

manbat
Oh yeah, about the Nirvana BTM, it's actually the 1992 BTM. I've also heard that Dave and Krist have stated they will not be apart of anything like that. Funny, considering Krist spoke during the 1992 BTM. Don't plan on a Nirvana BTM anytime soon. But the rest I'm sure are on the way.

Zeb
SLAYER!!! they've been playin' all arond the globe since the 80's, so they've to have somthin', plus some people say they are nazis. that should do it!!
