have some taste.....but if you're a Queen fan, you know that even the surviving
members of Queen liked Nirvana and have played, on numerous occaissions,
with Dave Grohl, now of The Foo Fighters. I don't like hearing Grohl sing
Queen songs even a little bit, because he can't sing, but, the point is
that the(Nirvana) were NOT talentless. THEY had (have)the respect of their
peers and that's the only true gauge of credibility, in my eyes, in the
music biz. Aside from Michael Jackson, I can't think of anybody in the
music biz who has stood up and claimed to be a fan of N'sync, but I'm sure
that you will now make a laundry list of those who have so.....lets just

Nirvana, Alice in Chains, or all the very heavy metal bands that think
they are very masculine by singing about murders, death and looking very
angry and tough on all their pictures. Mötley and Poison looked like
third-rate wh*res from the outskirts, who don't have the money to do their
make-up properly, but still they wrote some kick-a** songs and ficked some
of the sexiest women.

it was terrible. Absolutely no talent whatsoever! It takes more talent
to ask Max Martin to write songs for you than it takes to write something
as puny as smells like teen spirit. Any disgruntled teenager could write
something like it and if they get MTV's support, they can even be as successful
as Nirvana too. Now, Queen, David Bowie, and Led Zeppelin I would admit
really are talented artists that have style and heart. There's no argument
that artists like that are way better than acts that don't write or play
their music like n*sync. In fact Queen is one of my favorite bands too.

not a champion of Nirvana, I never said they were my favorite band, I never
said I thought they were great musicians. I do like them, yes, but I like
many, many other bands a lot more than them. Queen , David Bowie, Led Zeppelin......you
know... bands that PLAY their instruments...and write their own songs...songs
that have longevity, style and heart. There's more style and heart in a
Andy Gibb song than there is in any N'suck song for cryin' out loud! "Smells
Like Teen Spirit"....cheesy? WTF ever! N'suck aspires to write a song as
memoprable as that song....oh wait....they don't write songs!! That's right.....a
musical band that can't write their own songs....oh how cool. These guys
are bafoons that are taking little punks like you to the bank and will
never have to work another day in their lives, thanks to the likes of you.....oh
and by the way, I have more important things to do than look up exact album
sales of bands I DON'T EVEN LIKE, YOU LOSER! So take that cherished N'suck
CD of yours and shove it up your a$$!!

with his head, but I still wouldn't give him any credit because Nirvana
wasn't the rebirth of rock. Guns N' Roses were the rebirth of rock and
Nirvana was just a half decent GN'R wannabe that couldn't play their instruments

sold a lot. I was using the record sales to prove that Mercury was wrong
and biased. I like N'Sync because their music is fun. I realize that not
everyone likes that, but that doesn't mean that they have to bash N'Sync.
If they don't like it, they shouldn't listen to it. I am not claiming that
they are a modern-day Mozart, but they are a fun band to listen to. And
if I want something deep and introspective, I listen to Tool or Pink Floyd
- certainly NOT Nirvana.

Conflict Of Interest: ALL MAINSTREAM BANDS SUCK. its all commercialized,
no one writes their own music anymore. anyone who doesn't write their own
music is a cheesy immitation wannabe. not to mention ANYTHING that is popular

cheesy, but look at Kurt... there was obviously something wrong with his
head. Though, that doesn't make him worse than N'Sync... give him credit,
he had creativity and he changed rock history. Alright, here's what I've
got to say: N'Sync is pop, so they'll naturally sell more albums seeing
as pop is more well known. Another reason is that now a-days, parents are
monitering what their children listen to more closely and do you think
Nirvana would be the first choice? Uhh, no.. and one more thing. Nirvana
was back in the early 90's, the re-birth of rock. Maybe there wasn't as
many fans, and as much album sales... but I assure you that the fans were
much more devoted than the brats of today would ever be for any single
untalented group that decides to make the stage.

You people are pathetic!: Arguing about whether the N'Sync or Nirvana
was cheesier?! That's pretty sad! Nirvana was just the N'Sync of the early
90s. The only difference is that the times were different and the pop scene
called for something darker and edgier. The economic recession of the early
90s made people want something depressing and dirty like Nirvana and Pearl
Jam, and today's economic boom makes people want something happy and sappy
like N'Sync and the Backstreet Boys. The music industry is just engineering
bands to supply the demand. That's why you idiots (nsync blink ... cough
cough) shouldn't base the quality of music on records sales.

Kurt Cobain was interviewed by rock magazines, whereas the N'Sync people

merchandise-geared products to art. Kurt never had to sell his soul to
touch people with his music. I'm beginning to think you're sprouting this

has sold 4 million copies of Nevermind, while Pearl Jam has sold 3 million
of Ten, which proves that Kurt's death boosted Nirvana's popularity and
sales. At least N'Sync didn't have to kill themselves to pass the 10 million
mark. Not only that, but they did it NOT A DECADE, BUT A YEAR! AND ON TOP
OF THAT, THEY NEVER HAD TO DO ANYTHING AS CHEESY AS SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT

or had him killed, so I won't say he killed himself)! Nirvana was just
huge when he died and that's why it was such a blow to the industry...nobody
cares about Pearl Jam now because their last album sucked like a Hoover,
and the one before that was iffy too. One thing I DO know, is that even
Pearl Jam's last suck-fest of an album was still 100 times better than
anything N'Suck has put together....oh that's right, they don't put anything
together, other people do that stuff for them. Your comment about how they
recognize their weaknesses and have other patch them up for them was quite
hilarious! They recognize they have NO talent other than jumping around
on the stage like a bunch of wussies and singing songs OTHER people wrote
for them......how courageous! This is a joke of a band and they will go

Even though N'Sync don't have music and lyric writing talent of their own,
at least they realize where their weaknesses are and they get other people
to patch them up. So you get a good final product. Nirvana also did not
have any writing talent, however, their arrogance and pomposity prevented
