antiGUY gives his top 5 list of music stuff. Could be songs, people, a stupid trend... nothing is sacred to antiGUY

Top 5 Lamest CD’s of 2002

FAN Speak Continued
Posted byTK138:
I think we've covered most of the REALLY lame CDs of last year. One lame song that you all probably didn't hear was "My Neck, My Back (Lick It)" by Khia. Too $hort did an answer to this song called "My Dick, My Sack".

Posted byDeadSun:
I see it from a different angle. Sure, these "celebrities" are corporate-contrived; but if it doesn't sell- you're yesterday's news. Period. Here's the ugly, nauseating point: THIS *@#$!@# garbage sells! Then people wonder how some of us get so damn misanthropical AND satirical, when millions of mouth-breathers actually THINK they like this $#@!... Thank you, Mr. Chairman.

Posted bynb:
i agree with repo man...the chica has no business standing anywhere near a microphone. the only reason she sells so many albums is b/c she was an actress first and let's not forget the obvious, her ass. i thought "jenny from the block" was bad, but then i heard "all i have" and realized that all the screeching was actually her attempting to sing. what the hell has happened to the music industry? she's completely overrated and if i have to haer one more song by her, another "jen loves ben" story, or see her in another movie trailer, i think i'll bludgeon myself with a very blunt object.

Posted byRepo Man:
There is absolutely no one in the industry that is as overrated or untalented as Jennifer Lopez. How could you have forgotten to include her in the Worst 5 of 2002? Awful singing and lyrics that make Avril Lavigne look like John Lennon, not to mention that awful video which proves to us what a whore she really is - those are but a few reasons why Jennifer Lopez is the poorest excuse for a recording artist today. It's really sad that her album is actually in the top 10 on the charts.

Posted byDickie:
I heted how untalent people become famous because there famous in another field. In Australia the charts are being dominated by untalanted soapy stars who suck at music Delta Goodman, Bec Cartwright and Holly Valance. I blame Kylie Minogue and her leachey sister for starting this trand.

Posted byDeadSun:
Please humbly excuse the "trolling", if it offends thee so. Agree with each other or not, I like your ability to debate and opinionate clad with an informed perspective.

Posted byLB:
*released* that was a typo

Posted byLB:
Yeppers, Kizzy, she has more personality and talent than anyone who has recently relaesed an album. Yes indeedy, she SMOKES Dave Grohl, Josh Homme, Chris Cornell, Tom Morello, Eddie Vedder, and any tr00 (not sm00th) jazz musician to release one this year. There is more talent and ambience in the farts I release from my reeking anus than anything that issues from the fat mouth of Ozzy's daughter. She should definitely be allowed to do her own thing. If I was her I'd do my thing called live large off of my idiot Dad's fortune. shyte!

Correction: going out on a dangerous LIMB

Posted byDeadSun:
For "KIZZYMARIE": I'm going out on a dangerous in an attepmt to clarify your misunderstanding on behalf of all present... Kelly Osbourne as a thing in itself is NOT at issue. Kelly Osbourne, in a nuerotic attmept at seizing more attention than she feels she got on the "Osbourne's", has used her parent's influence in the entertainment industry. Despite glaring, stunning evidence of her lackluster vocal prowess, she has simply chosen to have rationality play second fiddle to better judgement. From a logical standpoint, this is nauseating.

Posted byKizzymarie:
I really do not understand why so many people have taken a dislike to Kelly Osbourn. I truely believe that her music is worth listening to. not to mention that she has more personality than anyone who currently has a released album. I think that instead of everyone jumping on the band wagon maybe she should be given a chance to do her own thing.

Posted byme:
damn true

Posted byDeadSun:
Sadly, all too many "music fans" are responsible for these pop-princess-frankensteins. There are more of them than there are of us, and their collective view of music is to abandon anything that may actually insight lucid thought or reflection on an artistic level. Their concept of art is degenerate and so is their choice of music. The record execs, in this case, are nuetral- they are just feeding the sheep what they want to eat.

Posted byLithiumBliss:
Ozzy's vocals are easily the most overproduced in rock. My brother lent me Ozzy's Live At Budokan tape, and gah, poor Ozzy. Wish I could have seen him in his prime with the mighty Sabbath.

Posted byAliceCooperette:
$20 for a tie? I buy all my ties from the Salvation Army for $0.75 each. I bet hers aren't even a classy silk-polyester blend!

Posted byTK138:
When you get right down to it, Kelly Osbourne probably doesn't have any less vocal assistance than her dad does.

Posted byDave:
I stumbled across this site from UBL, and this is the best lame list! it had my entire top 5. these bands are garbage and are part of the reason music is in shambles right now. anyway, check my band out and let me know what you guys think. peace www.coiled.org strikingtwice@hotmail.com

Posted by...:
Aaron sounds like the record exec. that called the shots in employing Avril... By the way, who the hell would pay $20 for a mother f*cking tie??? I saw it at hottopic and nearly vomited.

Posted byhahahha:
that's funny. did you see the hog on leno?? sounded like she was in an echo chamber. yeah great live my ass

Posted byAaron:
I know I'm probably like the only one here, but I actually liked Kelly Osbourne's Shut up! CD. It had good lyrics (which she helped write) and even though her voice was "souped up" in some songs, I guess you could say, it still sounded good and it went well with the band. Also, whose voice isn't assisted in the CDs that are put out now? As long as there have been ways to make singers voices sound better on CDs, artists have been using them. Plus as for her voice, even though we are discussing CDs, the girl does have some singing talent as she has shown in her later live shows. Anyway, just my opinion.

Posted byJordan:
I agree with everything on this list, i haven't hear much missy elliot but the comments about linkin park and avril i couldn't agree more with

Posted byMr. huh? saying, "My Generation Sucks!":
I agree. "Lose Yourself" was a surprisingly mature song for him.

Posted bythe voice of reason:
although i thought the feminem show was a bit repetitive (my mother was a bitch too, but i didn't write an album about it), after hearing lose yourself, all is forgiven.

Posted byNag:
Yeah, Feminem is missing from the list. His legions of white suburban thugs along with his image and music are just a corney and pathetic as Avril's legion of girly, prissy punks, and her image and music.

Posted byAdderXYU:
Sometimes I almost feel bad for Avril Lavigne. I mean, if you read interviews with her, its quite clear she has all the depth of a shotglass and the intellect of a particularly low-brow episode of Jackass. We should really save her, and maybe she can be a well adjusted woman someday, without all this "I'm a legit musician, look at my killer guitar riffs" hoopla. We're pulling for you, A. Because that means we won't need to hear you. On a sourer note than even Avril could produce, tho, I remember seeing Jesse Camp (remember him) take the Osbourne girls to a Hanson concert on MTV once. Before Aimee went underground. Did we not, as a collective music fanbase, fear this turn of events long ago? It's bad enough Jack hypes some of the worst bands ever onto the bill for Ozzfest yearly, but now Kelly is giving us personalized torture. Ozzy should have bitten her head off.

Posted byaG:
I might go postal if I heard that. I actually love that DL album (back when they knew how to rock) and I can just imagine the butcher job she would do to that song. Singers like Mariah who take vocal lines which should be a few notes and turn them into a couple of dozen really gets under my skin, especially when they redo classic songs. That American Idol show made me want to slap some of the singers butching classic R&B tunes with over singing. I swear those people are big on technique but low on a a singing voice, thus the need to oversign everything to cover up their lack of a geniunely good voice. Ok ranting done, that's one of my pet peeves.

Posted byTK138:
Probably not THE lamest, but didn't Sealion Dion put something out last year? And Mariah Carey, with that awful version of "Bringin' On The Heartbreak." Yes, I've heard a little sample of it. I'm just imagining what aG would do if he heard it, that is, if he hasn't heard it already.

Posted bySouthofheaven:
Niiiice, lets all not forget: nelly, eminem & adema,

Posted byMr. huh? saying, "My Generation Sucks!":
Right on Squeak. Many have said that Avril's vocals are just as synthesized as Britney's too. Norah Jones puts her to shame.

Posted bySqueak:
I just heard that Avril was nominate for 5 Grammies this year, including Best Song for 'Complicated'. Further proof that the Grammies are an outdated sham. Hopefully Norah Jones beats her in every category.

Posted byAliceCooperette:
I might as well toss this in before the sic azz uNdergRound Kelly and Avril fans show up. Give this topic two days, and it'll be so long that it'll take two or three minutes to load while all the teenypunkers defend their pop icons. I like to watch my scrollbar shrink and shrink down to a little sliver while my computer groans to pull up pages.

Posted byGREENMUSE:
one of my friends and i have had the discussion of who is actually worse, kelly,or avril, and kelly gets the nod from us,even though avril is my mortal foe,and it pains me to the core to say this, but kelly is indeed one of the worst things in music since lou pearlman.she has the money power to buy staying power.and pretty much ram herself down our collective throats.we predict in a few years avril will dump this whole psuedo punk image and become the next celine dion,or other diva(isnt this just a nice word for, overly demanding, snooty, stuck up woman?)

Posted byMr. huh? saying, "My Generation Sucks!":
I love trying to spot the inconsistencies in Avril's story. They should make a game called "Know your Avril Lavigne Contradictions". Let's be honest. Avril's just in it for the money and fame. She's constantly talking about how stardom is her main priority.

Posted byRocky:
You forgot Eminem, anything that little wigger does is garbage. Ludacrap, other than being a goofy-lookin rapper with meaningless lyrics like "Move Bitch, get out the way". Nelly, putting tape on your faces, adding another "r" to "here", making stupid lyrics like "its getting hot in here so take off all your clothes", and even rapping about tennis shoes.
