True Maudsley Fred Collins Nick Fiore
|
| Biography |
“Songs with enough ballsy power to rip your head off… yet still
melodic enough to leave you humming the chorus hours
later!!!!” – Kevin Thomas , SW Rock 4/99
The above quote pretty much says it all… Las Vegas based
FACT meets FICTION is not a band whose music can be easily
described. The sheer diversity of each of FmF’s players is the
likely cause for the bands uniqueness. True Maudsley, Fred
Collins, and Nick Fiore… collectively FACT meets FICTION…
is a band that has its hands in a 'multitude of musical cookie jars'
so to speak. This trio cleverly blends their individual styles into
songs that attract fans from a vast array of musical listening
genres. What attracts so many different types of fans, is best
summarized by FmF:
True Maudsley – ‘The melody is the key factor. No matter how
heavy the songs are, it’s not about how loud we can scream….
There’s always something there to sing along with.’
Fred Collins - ‘ Each song we write is really a musical journey. I
think our fans enjoy that aspect of it.’
Nick Fiore - ‘ Being so heavily groove-oriented is a huge plus.
People like to feel the music… you can definitely feel FmF’s
music.’
FACT meets FICTION believes that the songs they write will
cross into different radio markets as well. Whether it’s AOR,
Alternative Radio, Cutting Edge, or maybe even Top 40, gaining
listeners in any market will suit FmF just fine! True, Fred, and
Nick believe that a good song is just that--a good song--no
matter the style.
FACT meets FICTION has been steadily forging through the
Las Vegas scene since 1995. They have become well known for
their intense, energetic live shows and are constantly pushing the
envelope to make it even better. To be able to pull these types of
performances off, FmF firmly believes in using only professional
quality gear. They feel the quality of the performance is directly
related to the quality of the gear, and proudly endorse Mesa
Boogie, Ibanez, Rivera, and American Flyers Strings. FACT
meets FICTION is currently following up their very successful
1998 e.p. with a full length c.d. (due out before 12/99). This
highly anticipated follow up c.d. contains songs that will fit nicely
into many different radio station formats. FmF will support this
c.d. with heavy gigging around the Western U.S., while
constantly shopping the music industry for greater national and
international exposure. FACT meets FICTION is a multi-faceted
musical presence… with plenty of room for you to get on board
and ride the wave.... So come on along. |
