The Kevorkians were formed in 1995 in a response to the "cover band" dominated music scene. The Kevorkians have since have gained local, regional, and national recognition, and have built a solid fan base of constantly growing proportions.
The music is simplicity and melody. A testimony to how beautifully stripped down song can be. What you hear on the kevorkian's first CD, "Formaldehyde", is three years of growth away from the bar band image, a feat that is very challenging in Oklahoma. Program director Paul Kreiger, of Z104.5 fm radio in Tulsa, felt strongly enough about the material to make an unprecedented move and put "Barney vs. Grimace" in regular rotation, wich gained strong response.
The Kevorkians have also landed opening slots for major national touring acts: The Flys, Candlebox, 3rd Eye Blind, Orgy, 16 Volt, Everything, Caroline's Spine, Tripping Daisy, The Uninvited, Grand Street Cryers, Buck Cherry, and more.
The Kevorkians are in the studio now and are planning a Spring of 2000 release. Be there!!!!"
