from someone who used to have an Anti-Mandy Moore site ;) Ah, she rocks
now! Woot. woot!

Mae: I absolutely adore this movie, and I totally
agree with the review. I didn't even bother seeing "Crossroads" because
Britney Spears irks me to no end, and is so fake its disgusting. Mandy
Moore definitely delivered a wonderful performance in her role, therefore
I have a newfound respect for her and her music.

aG: Mr Huh? the story goes a bit beyond being
a "romance". There are added plot and character elements that take it in
a different direction. I don't think I would have been as impressed if
the story was only focused on the "romance" aspect. While that may have
made it a decent film, these other elements are what give the film it's
power.

Natalie : Whoever thought this movie was bad or
dared utter a negative comment about it is a nimrod, and a dimwitted tasteless
idiot. (sooooo much love) I adored this movie. It was a beautiful movie,
way better than the book, that taught me about life and love and devotion
and respect. every scene taught me a different lesson. I laughed throughout
"Crossroads". THAT was another teen movie. Mandy Moore is only a beginner
in acting, but she's already made 2 very smart decisions. Her character
in Princess Diaries would have beat up her Character in "Walk", AND one
is a comedy, and the other a drama. 2 very smart choices very early on.
Congratulations, Mandy!

Jessica: I also thought that "A Walk To Remember"
was one of the best films that came out this year, and maybe ever. Every
scene just makes you want to know what would happen next. It does have
a disappointing ending but the whole point of the movie really grabs you.
It's a movie worth watching because of the plot, the acting, even the great
music. I didn't really bother taking a second look on Mandy Moore and Shane
West but after this movie, I have a great new respect for them. "A Walk
to Remember" has a lot of messages behind it. I do not know what to say
about "Crossroads" but I think that just wasn't appealing. I feel like
it's just another Britney Spears advertisement. The acting and the plot
was just not interesting. It's so typical that it's not worth seeing a
hundred times.

Klaudia: Mandy Moore rocked in the movie. There
is no way you compare them both. A Walk To Remember was a movie you could
watch over and over and love it more. It had a wonderfull storyline and
with great actors..All I can say is no comment to the other movie...

Erica : I agree with the review. No doubt, Mandy
delivered a better performance than Britney. I admit I already had an opinion
before I even saw the movies, but AWTR definetly had more of an impact.
To me, Crossroads was dull and very unorginal, and the bad acting didn't
help it either.

VampireRyan: I hate them both. Pop stars can't act
or sing. Thank god it is dying.

*~gUaRdIaN oF ThE IvOrY gAtE~*: I liked Crossroads better, man! Britney
was a great actress, and Crossroads was a wonderful movie.

CJ: I hadn't read a review that i agreed with
until now. I have seen both movies and Crossroads shouldn't be compared
with AWTR, Crossroads was just a new Britney music video that lasts longer
than it should. AWTR is, though cliched at times, moving and well-acted.
I look forward to future projects from Shane West and Mandy Moore, though
I agree it would be difficult to top these performances.

Mr. huh? saying, "My Generation Sucks!": Man, I'm a guy and why I don't care much
for "romance" films, I've gotta say that from the many great things said
on this site, I'm incredibly tempted to see this movie. Not only is Mandy
Moore better personality-wise than Britney Spears, but apparently acting-wise
as well.

Pete: I can't comment on crossroads, I haven't
seen it but I did see A Walk To Remember last week and you are right it
was a really touching movie and Mandy Moore did far better than I imagined.
Like someone said a few posts down, if she went into a more adult area
with her music, she does have the talent to have a long career in music
but I hope she continues acting. I thought she did a far better job in
this movie than Haley Barry did in Monster's Ball. Thank you for a thoughtful
review and the warning about Crossroads. One more thing, this wasn't a
chic flic like many expect. I'm no fan of Sandra Bullock and I loved this
movie.

aG: I knew someone was going to say that Jeff.
Britney's movie could be called a chick flick or just a God awful pic.
AWTR may be thought of in that way by some but it really isn't a "chick
flick" that is unless you think any movie that doesn't have an explosion
every five minutes is a chick flick. But that's why as a guy, I thought
that this is more of an adult film, since I know when I was a teenager
I might not have been mature enough to view this film from the proper perspective.
I knew this write-up would throw some people but that's ok, I'm used to
it.

sweetypoyax: A Walk to Remember is totally an awesome
movie, i cried a lot when i saw this movie and take note i've watched this
over 5 times and still it hits my heart like a thunder. As for Britney,
grow up girl and try to find your luck elsewhere coz u no have talent in
acting and specially in singing. For Mandy, Shane and the rest of the AWTR
people, you did a GREAT job! Keep it up guys!

Angela: Great review, I agree with virtually everything.

rick: Mandy has a bright future ahead of her,
all she has to do is stay away from manufactured teen pop and turn into
a more serious genre. her acting/singing is alot better than Britney, JLO,
Mariah and Beyonce combined!

(no name): I was glad I was able to see this movie.
It touched me like no other movie before. I'm one of the few people who
has a newfound respect for Mandy Moore. Her acting was unbelievable; I
didn't think she would pull it off, but she did very well. I've already
seen this movie for 2 times, and I plan to buy the DVD as soon as possible.
About "Crossroads", from what I've heard in many sites, I wouldn't waste
my money on this, let alone my time.

Anna: I absolutly loved A Walk Top Remember!
Shane West was awsome and so was mandy moore! In the begining i thought
oh god here we go another signer trying to act but i was wrong! Mandy Moore
brought life to her character and her and Shane West were so good together!
I now own the movie and have a new outlook on Mandy Moore! As for Britney
Spears well, shes a differnet story! I never liked that trashy barbie doll!
But I love Shane West any ways so of course i would have liked the movie!

Kathryn: Oh man.A Walk To Remember was such an
awesome movie.I can watch it over and over again, and even though I will
know the outcome, I still enjoy it each time.Mandy and Shane did an awesome
job, they were so believable playing their characters.I wish that I could
find something like Jamie and Landon had!As for Britney, get over it hun.You
can not act and you can not sing, give it up!

Kristy: I absolutely Loved A Walk to Remember!!!
Mandy and Shane just had the best chemistry and are some of the best actors!!!
But Crossroads was defiantly a movie I know I will never see again, It
majorly stunk. Like when u walk away from seeing awtr a part of you is
changed, it really gives you something but when u walked away from Crossroads
it was like Why the heck did I waste 5 dollars on this movie?

Christi: I totally agree with your friend. I hated
Mandy Moore before the movie; but having read the book, I thought I'd give
the movie a chance. The first time I saw it, I was really disappointed
because it was different from the book. The second time I saw it, I was
completely changed. The movie touched my life in ways I can't exlain. Moreover,
Mandy's acting was truly awesome. She and Shane had such good chemistry
that the movie was believable. In the end, I wanted to be like Jaimie with
a guy like Landon.

Carl: I saw the Mandy Moore movie in the theatre
because my girlfriend wanted to see it. I'm glad I did, it was a really
good movie that makes you think about life and what's really important.
I was totally surprised at Mandy Moores acting, I look forward to her next
movie.

joe: I bet if Mandy Stays away from the evil
teen pop and turns more into a more rock sound, she will be big and get
more respect, as for Britney her 15 minutes of fame are up along with her
male counterparts, Nsync. thank god teen pop is dying
