Fan Blamed For Justin Bieber Photo Ban Speaks Out

(Radio.com) All Kailyn wanted was a photo with Justin Bieber, and now, thanks to her Instagram video, she is being blamed for the pop star's decision to stop taking photos with fans for good.

This morning, Kailyn drove from Winthrop to the studios of Mix 104.1 in Boston to set the record straight on exactly what happened outside of Bieber's hotel on May 9th.

"My friend Michelle and I went to the Four Seasons, because we knew he was staying there, but we waited for a couple hours and he still wasn't coming, so we walked over to his tour bus and all of a sudden he walked up to us, and was talking to us," she reveals to morning show hosts Karson and Kennedy.

"I got really excited, 'cause I couldn't believe it was really him, so my first instinct was 'I need to give him a hug', so I walked over and I gave him a hug and put my phone up and he didn't like that."

Kailyn explains that it wasn't the hug that Bieber didn't like, but the picture. "The security guard said 'you shouldn't do that without asking first.'" Looking back on the situation, Kailyn thinks that Bieber "was very overwhelmed," and she feels bad about the whole thing. "I feel bad," she said. "After I gave him the hug he still talked to me and that's when I asked. He got over it quickly and still talked to us after the incident," she clarified. Check out the Instagram video here.

Merle Haggard's Final Song 'Kern River Blues' Released

(Radio.com) Merle Haggard's final song, "Kern River Blues" is now available on Haggard's official website and iTunes. The song was recorded on February 9 at Haggard's Hag Studios.

Written by Haggard and featuring his son Ben on electric guitar, "Kern River Blues" is about the country icon's memories of leaving Bakersfield in the late '70s, reads a message on his official Website. Haggard was battle pneumonia when he recorded the song. Haggard died from the condition April 6 at the age of 79.

The lyrics to "Kern River Blues" seem eerily prescient: 'Well, I'm leaving town forever/Kiss an old boxcar goodbye/Well, I'm leaving town forever/Kiss an old boxcar goodbye/I dug my blues down in the river/But the old Kern River is dry," he sings in its final verse. Twitter Suspends Azealia Banks' Account

(Radio.com) It looks as though Azealia Banks has been banned from more than just a UK festival for her speech. She may have finally let loose one too many tirades on Twitter. The social media platform suspended her account on Thursday (May 12).

As much as it advocates free speech, Twitter also has certain rules in place when it comes to behavior. "In order to ensure that people feel safe expressing diverse opinions and beliefs, we do not tolerate behavior that crosses the line into abuse, including behavior that harasses, intimidates, or uses fear to silence another user's voice," the company wrote on its policy page.

As part of that code, Twitter does not tolerate harassment or hateful conduct. The last two tweets seen on Banks' account before it was suspended continued much of the hateful speech she has used to attack everyone from Sarah Palin to Zayn Malik. See the final tweets here.

Chance the Rapper Releases 'No Problem' Feat. Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz

(Radio.com) Even though pneumonia may have sidelined Chance the Rapper earlier this week and led to his canceling a New York City show, he still has plans to move ahead with releasing his new mixtape Chance 3.

Chance the Rapper premiered the track "No Problem," which features Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz. On the track, Chance threatens labels that continue to mess with him.

"You don't want no problem when the problem with me," he sings. The track is a noisy affair thanks to a confluence of sounds, including a gospel choir bleeding through in the background as everyone raps their parts.

Chance and Lil Wayne previously collaborated on "You Song" off Lil Wayne's 2013's Dedication 5. Listen to "No Problem" here.

Cole Swindell Performs 'You Should Be Here' On Kimmel

(Radio.com) Cole Swindell performed his latest number one "You Should Be Here" and his newest single, "Middle of a Memory" on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night.

Swindell wrote "Middle of a Memory" with Zach Crowell and Ashley Gorley. The Georgia native told The Boot songs like "Broke Down," "Middle of a Memory" - "I'm so proud I wrote those, because those are real things that I think we've all been through, and this album is, whether it's fun or not so fun, I hope it's real to everybody, and everybody listens to the whole album."

On his first album, the prolific songwriter wrote all but one song, but this time around, Swindell looked to other songwriters for a few of the tunes.

"That used to be all I did all day, write songs," Swindell says. "People ask me about that, but I'm like, 'I don't ever want to be dumb enough to miss a great song because I didn't write it' ' They are five that I wish I had written." Read more and watch the performance here.

Cam Takes Off In New Video 'Mayday'

(Radio.com) Cam goes retro in her new music video for "Mayday" off her 2015 album Untamed. She plays an early 20th century pilot who must let go of a toxic relationship in order to fly.

The song focuses on being in a bad relationship and being frightened about what happens if you leave. "You're fighting back and forth with yourself about wanting to leave, but not really having the guts to do it," she told People.

Cam elucidated on the specifics behind the song, explaining, "I had a boyfriend that told me, 'No one's going to love you like I loved you,' and [I thought], 'That's so terrifying."

In the video, Cam plays a female pilot a la Amelia Earhart, but after she crashes into the ocean she finds herself sinking because she can't let go of the one relationship keeping her down. She added about her own experience, "You're so afraid, so you stay in this crappy relationship. You've got to get out." Read more and watch the video here.

Taylor Swift Rocks Out To The Darkness' In New Apple Ad

(Radio.com) If you dug the Darkness' "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" in 2003, that song is etched in your memory for good--and let's count Taylor Swift among those who "believe."

In her latest ad for Apple Music (a fruitful and unexpected partnership) Swift enjoys a "quiet night at home" dancing to the track as if nobody's watching.

Swift debuted the spot on Twitter and it fits neatly among her other advertisements for the company. In the first, she face-planted on a treadmill while listening to "Jumpman" by Drake and Future. Then she championed Jimmy Eat World's "The Middle" as a getting-ready-to-to-out song.

Like the others, the latest Swift-Apple collaboration is equal parts flattering, self-deprecating and beautifully shot. Watch it here.

Black Eyed Peas Members Reunite in London

(Radio.com) Last month, will.i.am assured fans that a Black Eyed Peas reunion was in the works. Last night, the band reunited in London at Royal Albert Hall short one essential member--Fergie--but seemed to have a great time nevertheless.

Fans attended the free show expecting a will.i.am solo set in conjunction with the launch of a new smartwatch. "We've been coming to the UK since 1999, and we used to play a place called the Jazz cafe," said Taboo. "The UK has always been supportive of our band."

Hits on the setlist included "I Gotta Feeling" and "Where is the Love?" with Fergie sections sung by Lydia Lucy, who will.i.am mentored on The Voice. A spokesman for the group said Lucy is not a permanent fixture moving forward. In a Thursday morning BBC interview, Will was vague about whether Wednesday's Fergie-less lineup represents the future of the band.

"In my head, if it's me and Taboo out at a club, that's the Black Eyed Peas," he said. "If it's me and apl, it's the Black Eyed Peas. If it's me and Fergie, it's the Black Eyed Peas. Right now, everyone is on their individual tip and I'm trying to build the new vehicle in which the Black Eyed Peas takes form." See some fan-shot footage from the set here.

Justin Timberlake Previews 'Can't Stop The Feeling' Video

(Radio.com) On Thursday morning, Justin Timberlake released a teaser for the official music video for his new song "Can't Stop the Feeling!" and it is just as infectious as the song's title.

In the video, people of all ages, walks of life and occupations are shown dancing jubilantly to the new JT. It's a rare case where the exclamation point at the end of a song seems warranted.

Penned for the Trolls soundtrack, the clip begs the question whether this could be Timberlake's own "Happy" moment - a la Pharrell and "Despicable Me 2." Watch the preview here.

Singled Out: Taylor Carano's Put Down Your Gun (Ft. Johnny G)

Taylor Carano tells us the story behind the song "Put Down Your Gun(Ft. Johnny G)" which is a track from his third album "Friends of Friends". Here is the story:

"Put Down Your Gun(Ft. Johnny G)" was recorded on August 2, 2014 on the outskirts of Akron,OH at Camp Carano. The song features myself on acoustic guitar and vocals, as well as backing vocals and scatting performed by my friend Johnny G. Two microphones is all it took to bring this song to life, one for my acoustic guitar and the other for my vocals. I can't imagine a better acoustic guitar sound! After running through the song a few times with Johnny, I recorded my part of the song (guitar&vocals) in two takes. Now it was time for Johnny G aka John Gouskos to record his backing vocals, which he did wonderfully. Ever since I had written the song I imagined Johnny's deeper voice as a nice compliment to mine and was very, very happy I could get him in the studio. Two microphones, two voices and one acoustic guitar later we had our song.

I have heard some people refer to "Put Down Your Gun" as a political song and I'd have to disagree. To me, this song is more of a commentary on the world surrounding us. It is meant to be a reflection of the violence, murder, harassment, discrimination and political arms race that not only surrounds America, but the world. Guns are a hot subject, some people think that their guns are going to be taken away and some people believe they don't have enough guns. I don't want to take your gun away, I just want you to make smarter decisions with it. A gun is only an object, which can be used to kill, but only if the user decides to pull that trigger. Looking in the mirror you often find a different perspective on yourself and thats what I tried to do with this song, give you new perspective on something you thought was so clear. If I can make someone think twice about pulling a trigger, then I accomplished my goal. "Put down your gun and fight me like a man"

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album here.
