Toni Braxton Goes To Atlantic
Atlantic Records reports: Atlantic Records is proud to announce the addition of legendary R&B superstar Toni Braxton to its storied roster. The multiple Grammy Award-winning singer will unveil her hugely anticipated label debut on February 2nd, 2010.

"Atlantic Records has a rich heritage of great soul voices, from Ray Charles to Aretha Franklin, from Otis Redding to Roberta Flack," said Atlantic Chairman/CEO Craig Kallman. "Last year, we had the rare opportunity to bring another R&B icon into the Atlantic family, and for me it was an opportunity of a lifetime. Toni Braxton is not only one of the greatest voices of all time, but she is a charismatic superstar with an incredible list of achievements. She has sold over 40 million records worldwide, has had 15 Top Ten Billboard hits, earned six Grammy Awards, and the list goes on and on. Above all, there has always been that fantastic voice, filled with passion and beauty and soul. I believe that Toni has made the most spectacular album. It's the culmination of everything that has come before… a brilliant reflection of her experiences in music and in life. It's the start of an exciting new chapter – one which all of us at Atlantic are so very proud to be part of."

"Yesterday," the first single from the album, is currently on sale at Braxton's official home online, www.tonibraxton.com. A companion video – directed by famed filmmaker Bille Woodruff, known for such classic Braxton clips as "Un-Break My Heart" and "He Wasn't Man Enough" – was filmed earlier this month in Los Angeles and is currently in post-production with a premiere date to be announced later. - more on this story

Terra Naomi Releases EP and Continues Fan Funded Tour
PR reports: Terra Naomi is proof that artists today can use social media marketing instead of a record label to launch and maintain thriving musical careers. After leaving Island Universal Records in 2008, Terra decided to forge ahead with what launched her career as a musical artist: The desire to connect with her fans in a more personal way via numerous online videos and webcasts, and her interactive website.

Terra's current tour is to promote, "You For Me" EP. The album is available on iTunes now with a full-length album expected in early 2010. After posting a 'Tour Support Fund Drive' video on YouTube, she raised her $5,000.00 goal in two week's time. With over 15 million views of her homemade videos on YouTube, nearly 35,000 subscribers, and an unparalleled interactive dialogue with fans, Terra is once again at the forefront of the new direct artist-to-fan model and can't wait to test out the viability of this approach when she hits the road this month.

In 2006, Terra was a pioneer in the digital age of music when she posted a series of videos filmed in her Hollywood apartment. Naming it her "Virtual Summer Tour," Terra went on to win the first-ever YouTube Award for Best Music Video in 2006 for her song/video "Say It's Possible" - more on this story

Robert Randolph and the Family Band Get There With New Song
PR reports: Robert Randolph and the Family Band, led by the critically heralded pedal steel guitarist, singer, and songwriter Robert Randolph, have released a foot-stomping new digital single, entitled "Get There," which will make its broadcast television debut as the new theme song for Friday Night Knicks on the MSG Network on Friday, October 30th. "Get There," which was released on iTunes on October 27th and is now available for purchase, is the first new song from Robert Randolph and the Family Band in three years.

"When I wrote, 'Get There,' I was tapping into the sound and soul of our gospel roots – the true essence of the Family Band. The song speaks of moving in that positive direction. As a longtime Knicks fan, I feel that is where the team is heading," said Randolph.

The Family Band, which also features Randolph's cousins Danyel Morgan and Marcus Randolph released their last album, Colorblind on Warner Bros. Records in October 2006. It spawned two singles, "Thrill of It" (of which a live version was used as the theme music for six editions of the debut season of ABC's Saturday Night Football) and "Ain't Nothing Wrong With That," which was used in the hit film "Stomp The Yard." - more on this story

We Are Wolves Set For Invisible Violence
PR reports: We Are Wolves will release their third full-length album Invisible Violence in the U.S. on February 2, 2010 via Dare To Care Records.

We Are Wolves' trademark irreverent dance-rock-electro mix is more melodic and refined than ever on Invisible Violence. Recorded in the band's hometown of Montreal this past July and August with producers Radwan Moumneh (Thee Silver Mt. Zion, Pas Chic Chic) and Hadji Bakara (Wolf Parade, Megasoid), the album ranges from the charging, bratty punk of "Holding Hands" to the hypnotic electro-pop of "Reaching For The Sky;" from the grooving disco beat of "Blue" to the moody, angular, and anthemic "Walking Commotion."

Creative and energetic, yet nuanced, Invisible Violence is every minute the visceral sonic explosion for which We Are Wolves have become known and loved. - more on this story

Maverick Presents Showcase
Submitted News reports: Tony Kessman, CEO of Maverick Presents announced today the beginning of a series of shows designed to showcase the top new talent in each genre gleaned from a series of demo submission calls, battle of the bands and live show reviews.

Tony Kessman, best known for producing and promoting a concert for Platinum recording artist/ American Idol Winner Jordin Sparks in Phoenix Arizona last February reported that there are many excellent artists that seem to be trapped in the local music scene where the pay is meager or non existent and the odds of being discovered are slim to none.

One of those bands ALLINADAY an alternative rock band out of Sacramento California got the attention of Maverick Presents when they sent in their demo produced by Rich Mouser of the well known band OLEANDER. "I was completely blown away by this band's demo and immediately went to their studio to meet with them" reports Kessman. Since their initial meeting ALLINADAY is now the top artist on The Indie with a number one and number two songs. They are also ranked 3rd on Roadrunner Record's A&R site and are now poised for a recording contract. - more on this story
