Chris Brown Says He Still Loves Rihanna
antiMusic reports: Chris Brown has been camera shy since his arrest for beating Rihanna but now that his sentencing is behind him he is facing the media one again and spoke with CNN's Larry King and celeb rag People, which both released excerpts of the exchange on Monday.

Brown's peeps were quick to claim that the CNN online preview clip misrepresented the entire interview with Larry King. According to Reuters: King, whose interview airs on Wednesday night on CNN's "Larry King Live," asked Brown if he could remember the event, and in the brief video, the singer clearly said "no." "I just look at it like, wow, I'm in shock, because, first of all, that's not who I am as a person, and that's not who I promise I want to be," Brown said. "So when I look at the police reports or hear about the police reports, I just don't know what to think."

And in the People interview he says of Rihanna, "I never fell out of love with her. That just wouldn't go away." That will hit newsstands on Friday. - Read the Reuters report here

Jason Mraz Talks About His History Making Song
antiMusic reports: We attempted to have Jason Mraz tell us about his history making song "I'm Yours" for our Single Out series but his label reps said they would look into it but we never heard a peep since them. Guess you, our readers, were not important enough for them to bother with but they apparently had no problem hooking AP up with Mraz. So in what may be our final coverage of the singer/songwriter, here is an excerpt of that exchange: Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" may be the longest running song in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but the hippie-friendly jam has been around even longer.

Mraz has played the song on tour for five years, and he said fans at live shows always responded differently to it, inspiring him to release the song as a single.

"The song was really born into the crowd. ... I noticed almost an immediate response to it and people really celebrated in a different way during that song," he said in a phone interview. "And then by having those three years to jam to the song, it gave us the opportunity to do something simple, yet spirited" in the studio.

Joe Jackson Wants Justice In Michael's Death
antiMusic reports: Michael Jackson's father didn't mince words on the Today Show following the ruling by the Los Angeles County coroner's office on Friday that Michael's death was a homicide.

"I'm not angry. I'm mad," Joe Jackson said on Today. "I didn't know all this was going on. That's what I'm mad about." Joe Jackson said of Friday's announcement "tells me there was foul play done. That's what it tells me. And more to be investigated to see what is behind all of this stuff, not just Dr. Conrad Murray."

But Joe doesn't stop at the doctor who administered the deadly dose to his son. "Someone should pay. Not just someone but all of them should pay that's involved," Jackson said. - more on this story

Carmen Electra Sets Album Release
PR reports: Carmen Electra in collaboration with One Seven returns to the music scene with her album C-17 on October 13th. "Who Do You Think You Are", Carmen's first single off the new album is a smoldering, hard hitting duet primed to detonate on pop radio.

Few of Electra's fans are aware that she is an accomplished and versatile singer who expertly oscillates between seductive crooning and salacious rapping. One Seven was aware of her earlier work with Prince, and after seeing her perform with the Pussycat Dolls, he was inspired to write a record for her. "We both lived in Hollywood and met at a party," Electra remembers. "The tracks he sent me were really good. I've always loved cutting edge up-tempo music. It was fun going to his studio and recording songs with no pressure, nobody telling you what to say."

Electra's second album allowed her to return to her roots in music and gave her the opportunity to showcase her affection for unapologetically raunchy club bangers. An unpredictable fusion of electro-pop and hip-hop, C-17 offers a fresh palette of sounds, from the dizzying beat assaults of "Bobbin'" and "While The Light Was On" to the deliciously lurid innuendo of "Jimmy High" (C-17's second single and remixed by popular New York DJs Star Killers). - more on this story

Scissor Sisters' Del Marquis To Give Fans The Runaround on the 22nd
PR reports: Runaround is the final piece of a truly independent, release from Scissor Sisters guitarist Del Marquis and it closes out the cycle in high style. Out September 22, Runaround is designed for the heart and soul, but also for the feet. The release, which features three new pop gems along with five killer remixes is a straight up MAXI-single.

On a break from the Scissor Sisters in 2008, Del set out to break new ground with an unconventional music project. One that would break away from the traditional album-tour-album game plan with a series of short releases, each with video accompaniment.

While Runaround steers away from the previous inclusion of a video, it focuses solely on the tunes, and is no less compelling. With its fantastically vintage production values la production legends Trevor Horn and Mike Thorne Del's songs may throw the listener, but that's the beauty of it no one else is making music like this today. - more on this story

Destino Set October Release
PR reports: Their nameDestinotranslates to destiny in Italian and Spanish, and indeed the golden tenor voices of Canadians Paul Ouellette, Joey Niceforo and Hans Munoz were meant to meet. The classical crossover trio calls their sound "popera with a soul infusion," a unique blend of soaring operatic vocals, pop licks and contemporary R&B swagger. Their stirring sell-out performances have left audiences of all ages and musical persuasions ecstatic, and Destino's 2008 debut album, Forte, with its stirring, multilingual vocals and wide range of emotion and expression, has received numerous rave reviews.

Forte, recorded in Vancouver between the spring of 2007 and spring 2008, is their first widely available commercial CD, and it will be released in the US on October 13 by AAO Music/Reality.

On Forte, Ouellette and Niceforo, along with previous member Leon Leontaridis (who subsequently left the group to devote more time to his family), take on a range of material that brilliantly showcases their breathtaking vocal talents and dramatic, romantic flair. Among the highlights are "Show Me the Way Back to You," written by the legendary tunesmith Diane Warren, "L'Hymne a L'Amour," made famous originally by the great Edith Piaf, "I'l Canto," one of Pavarotti's last studio recordings, and "Someday," a timeless Disney favorite. - more on this story

songvoo for iPhone and iPod
PR reports: Elements2Dance (E2D) is proud to introduce songvoo 1.0, their new iPod app and music companion for iPhone and iPod Touch. Developed specifically to leverage the iPhone's unique capabilities and interface, songvoo uses the entire display for the song title and artist of the current playing song.

Users also can choose stylish themes to match their taste and lifestyle. songvoo serves as a great iPod companion for both casual user and music professionals alike, or anyone who has a large, constantly changing music collection to stay on top of.

"I developed songvoo originally to fill a need for my own enormous and constantly growing music collection." said Jokton Strealy, resident DJ of E2D. "The included iPod app was not enough for my needs because the text seemed too small, and song names and artists appeared got cut off for lack of space because the album cover art is so big. I also felt that the interface needed to be more fun and look stylish. Apple opening up version 3.0 of the iPhone OS allows so much more freedom. Although created for music professionals, songvoo allows for extensive user customization which will appeal to a wider audience." - more on this story
