Adele Releases 'Send My Love (To Your New Lover)' Video

(Radio.com) During the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night, Adele released a music video for her new single "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)." Kate Beckinsale presented her with the Top Billboard 200 Album Award, which Adele collected via satellite from her world tour.

"Send my love to your new lover," Adele sings to her former flame. "Treat her better, We gotta let go of all of our ghosts, We both know we ain't kids no more."

The video for the upbeat track, which was produced by Max Martin, features Adele doing something we haven't seen her do very often. Dance. The experimental video shows Adele in a floor-length floral dress cast in various colored lights.

"Can you believe it? Lost all of my inhibitions. It was actually really fun," the singer recently told fans during a concert in Stockholm. Watch the video here.

Christina Aguilera Duet With Whitney Houston Hologram Leaks

(Radio.com) A hologram of Whitney Houston was set to share the stage with Christina Aguilera for a duet during the season finale of The Voice this week. Houston's estate canceled the performance after footage of the hologram leaked online--leaving executors and fans feeling underwhelmed.

"After closely viewing the performance, we decided the hologram was not ready to air," the executor of Houston's estate Pat Houston told ET Online. "We have much respect and appreciation for Christina, and she was absolutely flawless."

Pat Houston explained that Whitney's fans deserve "perfection" and that no hologram performance will air for the public until the technology and optics are refined. To be fair, many Twitter users and opinion writers quibbled with the idea of a hologram at all, a recurring theme in popular music that leaves some viewers feeling icky. There's no business like show business!

Commenters have likened the posthumous hologram's cancellation to Houston's own tendency to bow out of performances--an affectionate remembrance of the late icon's "diva" legacy. Watch the footage here.

Madonna Tributes Prince With Billboard Awards Performance

(Radio.com) Madonna brought the crowd to their feet at the Billboard Music Awards with a rendition of Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U." Clad in a purple suit, the pop queen performed before the words "BROTHER" and funereal images.

In a smooth transition to "Purple Rain," Stevie Wonder came onstage to join her as purple wristbands lit the Las Vegas arena. The tribute turned a cappella while fans clapped reverentially.

"Every time we hear a really great guitar solo, we're gonna remember," said Questlove in his introduction, leading the audience in a moment of silence. "I just want to take a moment to remember the great Prince Rodgers Nelson."

Madonna and Prince (who were rumored to have briefly dated) collaborated on her Like a Prayer on the track "Love Song." Before a worldwide audience in the millions, Madonna's performance was a fitting tribute to her old friend and collaborator. Read more here.

Interpol's Paul Banks and Wu-Tang Clan's RZA 'Love + War' Video

(Radio.com) Interpol's Paul Banks and Wu-Tang Clan's RZA started a new partnership called Banks and Steelz. The first track "Love + War" features Wu-Tang member Ghostface Killah, and premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show. Now they have a video to go with the new song.

RZA revealed to Rolling Stone that he and Banks were working on music together in 2013. The rapper explained how the project came about: "My manager came to me and said, 'Who do you want to do an album with?' I said, 'Well, Paul just has an energy about him. I think if we put our sandwich together it will be great.'

"Me and Paul, we play chess together and just hang out. We went to the studio and we started writing songs and they sound very, very different than what I do, but very unique and very peculiar."

The new video pays tribute to an iconic scene in Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs. RZA has also worked with Tarantino before, for example, on the soundtracks the Kill Bill film series. Read more and watch the video here.

Sia Covers Nat King Cole's 'Unforgettable'

(Radio.com) Soundtracks are all the rage what with The Angry Birds Movie, Trolls and more children's movies featuring bigger and bigger names from pop, hip-hop and country.

Sia joins her fellow artists by contributing a song to the upcoming Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dory. She covers Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable." As the voice behind Dory, Ellen invited the singer to perform it Friday (May 20) on her show.

"When I asked our next guest to sing the theme song to Finding Dory, I was thrilled that she said yes," Ellen said. Sia's version of "Unforgettable" sounds surreal as it combines the original's romantic melody with an underlying sense of whimsical childishness, which seems perfectly fitting for the film.

Wearing her black and white wig, which covers her face, Sia stood alone onstage in an elaborate black dress to sing the number. When Ellen joined her afterward to thank her for singing the song, Sia admitted, "Dory's story makes me teary." Read more here.

Ryan Tedder Has Never Seen U2 This Focused

(Radio.com) U2 is currently working on the follow-up to their Songs of Innocence album, to be titled Songs of Experience. And one of the band's co-producers, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, says that it's sounding like a great addition to U2's already classic catalog.

Tedder and OneRepublic were at Radio.com to discuss their own new single, "Wherever I Go," (watch the video here, and look for our full interview with OneRepublic next week) and Tedder offered his opinion on the new U2 project: "I've never seen them this focused."

He noted that the Songs of Experience will consist mostly of newly-written songs, with just a few songs that didn't make it to Songs of Innocence. "It's a new record. There might be one or two songs from Songs of Innocence [included]."

He said that U2's classic 2000 album provided a benchmark of sorts. "It's the most exciting stuff I've heard since All That You Can't Leave Behind. And that album cover was on the wall; [it was] saying 'Match or beat this record.'" Read more here.

Ariana Grande In Horror Movie Spoof 'Dogface Filter'

(Radio.com) Ariana Grande stopped by Jimmy Kimmel's show ostensibly to promote her new album Dangerous Woman. However, the star debuted a trailer for a side project you probably haven't heard of: the upcoming Snapchat movie, "Dogface Filter."

The star is no stranger to the ephemeral messaging platform, so the spoof trailer hits Grande (and her millions of followers) right where they live. In the clip, Grande and a friend are messing around with Snapchat's popular new filters. She's particularly dumbstruck by the dog face filter, and gets lost in the flattering canine reflection. A throaty voice actor adds, "What began as a game becamea nightmare."

"I love being a dog!" she said, enthusiastic. Then Grande goes catatonic. "I'm so cute." From there, the menacing trailer goes straight-up horror movie, leading to this campy title and tagline: "Dogface Filterbecause some snaps are forever."

Grande also performed her album's title track, "Dangerous Woman." Watch the trailer and the performance here.

Blake Shelton Looks Back At 'The Ups and Downs' Of The Past Year

(Radio.com) Friday was big day for Blake Shelton: not only did he drop his 10th studio album, If I'm Honest, he also voices a character in the Angry Birds movie, which opened in theaters this past Friday.

To celebrate, he called in to his Voice co-star Carson Daly's morning show on 97.1 AMP Radio in Los Angeles to talk about both of the above, as well as his relationship with Gwen Stefani.

"I probably wouldn't be releasing another album yet if it hadn't had been for all the ups and downs of the last year," Shelton admitted. "Everybody probably has something they do whenever they get into a low spot or a dark place, and also when things are extra good. For me, it's music. I mean, that's what I do."

"Go Ahead and Break My Heart" is one of the standout tracks on the album and it features Stefani.

"I think I was just trying to impress her-to show her: 'I can write songs too, Gwen!'" he said. "I sent her the song about halfway written. Actually, it was the first verse and the chorus and I sent it to her just on voice memo and about two days later, she sent back the song and she had finished the song from her point of view and it was like, 'Woah! That is nuts!' I mean, we wrote a song together just on, like, text!"

Shelton and Stefani began dating late last year. They come from opposite sides of the musical spectrum and that has led to some cute misunderstandings. Read more here.

Wale Releases 'My P.Y.T', First Single From New Album

(Radio.com) Wale released his very first single "My P.Y.T" off his upcoming album Shine on Friday (May 20). For the track, he puts his own spin on Michael Jackson's song "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)."

The chill track has a laid back beat with a chorus that borrows from Jackson's song. Wale adds his own raps about his very special-very well endowed-New York pretty young thing on the verses. The gal may be younger than Wale, but she keeps him on his toes.

''My P.Y.T' is actually my first rhythmic record since my very first single 'Chillin' with Gaga," Wales said, according to a press release. "I've put out singles like 'The Matrimony,' 'Bad,' and 'Lotus Flower Bomb,' which ended up getting me a GRAMMY nomination, but this is my first upbeat, 'for the clubs' record in years so the process was a lot different. I took extra time on each and every line, making sure it appealed to a specific but diverse audience at the same time."

Wale will be dropping his fifth studio album Shine this fall. No release date has yet been announced. Read more here.

Celine Dion Covers Queen's 'The Show Must Go On'

(Radio.com) Celine Dion released a reinterpretation of the Queen classic "The Show Must Go On" on Friday (May 20). The song features electric violinist Lindsey Stirling.

The rock ballad comes in advance of Dion's performance at the Billboard Music Awards on May 22, when she'll perform it live with Stirling. Dion keeps much of the original song's feel-replete with heady strings-but her vocal power creates an added dramatic layer.

Dion has been busy with her Las Vegas residency, and this fall will reach her 1,000th show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. It's been an emotional year so far for Dion, whose husband passed away on January 14. Read more here.
