Blink's two-show itinerary included a show at a military base in Bahrain and on an aircraft carrier in Kuwait.

New Linkin Park
Launch reports: Although Linkin Park is touring overseas through the end of the year, the group plans to write new material while on the road for what will likely be their third album. After performing at last weekend's Reading and Leeds festivals in the U.K., singer Chester Bennington told NME.com, "We haven't started to record yet so we're just getting used to playing the new stuff (material from Meteora). It's now starting to get a bit old to us, so once that happens is when the creative process starts. I imagine over the next two months we'll be starting to write some new stuff." - Click Here for more info

Sex Pistols Walk Out
Much Music reports: Music news websites today are reporting that Johnny Rotten led his fellow Sex Pistols off a Toronto stage last night in protest of a over zealous spitter in the front row. The Molson Amphitheatre crowd waited patiently for about five minutes before the aging punk band sauntered back onto the stage and continued their set with little mention of the tantrum. While some reports claimed the band were "under fire from a hail of chairs, bottles and spit," many in the audience report that the entire incident seemed staged for effect.

There is still no word as to why the Sex Pistols have cancelled three upcoming concerts in Cleveland, Detroit and Denver. The band has also postponed their Jimmy Kimmel Live performance until 4th September.- Click Here for the Full Story

Jack Black's School of Rock
Undercover reports: Maybe Tenacious D was only an audition. Jack Black is about to give us a few lessons at The School Of Rock.

The new Jack Black movie tells the story of Dewey Finn. He is fired by his rock band and takes a job as a substitute teacher at a private school. Instead of the usual subjects, Dewie teaches the students the art of rock and roll, forms a band with the kids and then enters a talent quest.

While the plot may sound hideous, the soundtrack is spectacular with songs from The Who, Cream, The Clash, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, T Rex, David Bowie, Black Sabbath, AC/DC and The Ramones.

Jack Black (minus Kyle Gass) has recorded 'The School of Rock' as the main song for the movie.   - Click Here for the Full Story

Cavern Club In Your Town
NME.com reports: Plans are underway to replicate LIVERPOOL's infamous CAVERN CLUB, the spiritual home of THE BEATLES, in a global chain of venues across the world.

The Cavern Club - famously the site where The Beatles played over 300 shows from 1961 will be recreated in Adelaide, Sao Paulo, Rio, Marbella, Miami and New York if work by club owners goes according to plan.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo newspaper, chairman Bill Heckle said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to spread the name of The Beatles and the Cavern Club around the world. We are also talking about bands from Liverpool going on tour to all the new venues.""

The original Cavern Club was closed in 1973 and reopened in 1984. The club has hosted hundreds of Beatles-inspired events, including an exclusive gig by Paul McCartney in 2001.

Back Porch Motorcycle Club
NME reports: BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB are planning a "rootsy, back porch" approach to their next LP.

The band, who release their second album 'Take Them On, On Their Own' this week, said the new choice of direction had been inspired by "the simple side of rock 'n' roll."

"We've had all these new songs stewing for a while that are really different than what we come out with normally," guitarist Peter Hayes told XFM. "Very rootsy back porch, country, gospel, blues kinda stuff. I can't explain it more than that really.

"It's definitely really strong though. We haven't been very confident of that side of our songwriting cos we just always played it down, but in the past year, the stuff we've been coming out with is just as good as anything we've ever done. It's strange, taking a second look at it and seeing how it could actually work as a real record."

The songs are planned for inclusion on the bands next album. - Click Here for Full Story

Epic Fall Releases
From Epic Records:

Here are some notable forthcoming Fall releases from Epic.

The fall season kicks off on Sept. 23 with the return of Fuel, whose "Natural Selection" was produced by Michael Beinhorn (Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Carl Bell, and mixed by Andy Wallace (Foo Fighters, Korn, Nirvana). The album contains eleven new tracks including surging anthems like the single "Falls On Me" and "Die Like This."

October will also bring Mandy Moore's "Coverage," an album that will please her avid teen base, while also carving out a new niche as a mature young woman of multi-generational appeal. On "Coverage," due Oct. 21, Moore tackles such challenging fare as Joni Mitchell's "Help Me," Carly Simon's "Anticipation," Blondie's "One Way Or Another," and John Hiatt's "Have A Little Faith," the first single.  (not in the press release, Mandy recruited Phil Solem from The Rembrandts to play on a few of the tracks including Elton John's "Mona Lisa and Mad Hatters", Cat Stevens' "Moon Shadow" and Joe Jackson's "Breaking Us In Two". This album is an interested departure for Moore, who does an admirable job breaking away from her teen-pop past, especially on a track like "One Way Or Another", where she shows she can actually rock. )

On Oct. 21, Epic will issue the double DVD release "The Complete Masterworks" by rock renegades Tenacious D. Among the project's key features is a November 2002 performance at London's Brixton Academy that features such gems as "Explosivo," "Wonderboy," and "Kyle Quit the Band," as well as the act's impossible-to-find HBO appearances and a slew of behind-the-scenes footage.

In November, Epic will cater to diehard fan tastes with collectibles by Rage Against The Machine and Pearl Jam. Rage's "Live At The Olympic Auditorium" CD and DVD captures the influential band's final shows at the Los Angeles Olympic Auditorium," while "Rarities" gives listeners a peek into the vaults of the ever-prolific, always compelling Pearl Jam.

AC/DC fans will be chomping at the bit for the Nov 11th release of "Live at Donington" DVD. This live 2 hour DVD was shot in Panavision at the band's 1991 Castle Donington Park concert and includes a new "Director's Cut" by original filmmaker David Mallet, 5.1 Surround mix by AC/DC engineer Mike Fraser and a re-mastered Stereo audio track. The DVD will be packaged in a deluxe digi-pak with a full-color 12 page booklet
