Johnny Rotten Vs. Avril II
Rockdirt reports: Matt Sebastian of the Daily Camera caught up with Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten, who was again fuming over Avril Lavigne, especially her comments proclaiming herself "punk," going so far as to tell Seventeen magazine that "I'm like a Sid Vicious for a new generation." Rotten said of the Canadian pop-punk act: "I don't give a damn. I wish she was (Vicious). Then she'd be dead, and that's putting it mildly ... What do people think heroin is? A joyous romp in the park? It's self destruction, and I'm sorry, but no self-respecting punk would be out to destroy himself. 'Oh, he's the dead one, you know.' What a bizarre attitude that it's the dead one who's the good one. Look, these self-professed punks are fake. She's about as much punk as Kelly Osbourne."-- Click Here for the Full Story

Jack Black As Ozzy
Blabbermouth reports: Michael Starr of the New York Post reports that Jack Black is angling to star in the big-screen Ozzy Osbourne biopic and he's not shy about wanting the job. "He's been a huge influence on me," Black tells Ozzy's wife, Sharon, on today's "Sharon Osbourne Show".

"[Ozzy] was a hero of mine as a kid and I have to say, I've been tracking the Ozzy film. . . ." Black then tells Sharon that it would be a "bad call" to cast Colin Farrell in the role. "If anyone's Ozzy, I'm Ozzy," he says..- Click Here for the Full Story

Greenday Scam Part III
Undercover did a bit of detective work and discovered that The Network is most likely Green Day. Here is an excerpt report:

Let's do the 'Paul is Dead' test and see if there are any hints they have to give by looking at the individual band members. We only know their nicknames. We don't know their faces because they have never been seen unmasked. So

Fink He is the leader of the band. He finances the group and he is an Aquarius. Coincidentally, Billie Joe Armstrong is an Aquarius, we know Billie Joe funded the group because he owns the label and the sound bite at the Adeline website sounds a lot like Billie Joe (and we mean a REAL lot). And look at his name Fink. Didn't Green Day once record a song called 'The Ballad of Wilhelm Fink'?

But wait, there's more. Canadian music writer Andrew Epstein has discovered for the online mag Chart Attack that Tre Cool once went by the name Captain Underpants when he was in a band called The Lookouts. Captain Underpants is also in The Network.

Andrew also unveiled that The Network's Van Gough is a vegan. So is Green Day's Mike Dirnt.

Greenday.net weblord Brian Gray has published a photograph of The Network at their press conference earlier this week. Alas, the members were masked. Will these masked musicians ever reveal their true identities? How the hell should I know" asks Brian at greenday.net

The mystery remains..- Click Here for the Full Story

Fans / Sites Call for RIAA Boycott
A group of websites have gathered together to call for a boycott of the RIAA in protest to the trade group suing file sharers. Here is an excerpt from their website describing their plans:  A coalition of websites is coming together to create www.stopRIAAlawsuits.com, which will call for a one week boycott of RIAA music coinciding with the next round of lawsuits against music fans. We would like to invite your site to join the coalition. When the RIAA files its next round of suits, we will launch the website which will include a link to every endorsing site-- the more we have on board, the stronger a statement we can send. The record industry trying to use these suits to scare people into buying their products. To end the lawsuits, we need to show them that lawsuits will hurt their bottom line. To endorse, send an email from your domain to [email protected]

It's doubtful is a one week boycott will do much good, why not call for a boycott until they stop filing the lawsuits?

Cops Cited In Guns N' Roses Riot
Blabbermouth reports: Amy O'Brian of the Vancouver Sun reports that at least two Vancouver Police officers appeared to use "unnecessary and excessive" force during the GUNS N' ROSES riot last fall, the police complaint commissioner said Friday (October 10).

Commissioner Dirk Ryneveld made the statement in a written notice for a public hearing that will examine the events of last Nov. 7, when fans of the legendary 1980s rock band erupted in anger when lead singer Axl Rose unexpectedly cancelled the show at GM Place.

Police moved in to disperse the rioting crowd and allegedly injured at least two men in the process.

Robert Parent and Detlef Schroeder lodged complaints under the B.C. Police Act that they were injured when officers used unnecessary and excessive force. Video footage of that night shows Schroeder being beaten by police armed with batons as he was leaving the stadium with his daughter. Further footage shows an officer using his baton to knock out two of Parent's teeth. "In my view, the video footage clearly depicts at least two separate incidents in which two officers appear to be using unnecessary and excessive force against Messrs..- Click Here for the Full Story
