No Breast For Pro Bowl
Much Music. reports: Canadian singer FeFe Dobson until today was planning to perform at the half time show at this weekend's NFL Pro Bowl game in Hawaii. But, according to a posting on www.fefe.ca: "Fefe has been unfairly canceled from performing at the Pro Bowl because of Janet Jackson's performance at the Super Bowl!" Fans are urged to send an email to NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue at [email protected] to express their disapproval. According to Rollingstone.com, *NSync's J.C. Chasez has also had his performance cancelled. Instead, fans watching the game will be treated to a spectacle celebrating 25 years of the NFL Pro-Bowl in Hawaii. The NFL commissioner says the move is the first example of a policy change. - Click Here for the Full Story

Rotten TV Controversy
Aversion reports: It's too bad a bared boobie at this year's Superbowl's drawing all the attention for live broadcasts, as John Lydon's up to his old tricks -- swearing on live broadcasts -- on British television.

Lydon, who is appearing on the show I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here, uttered the phrase "F*cking c*nts" when he wasn't voted out of the rainforest and back to civilization.

It's not the first time Lydon's potty mouth has made it past the censors because of a live broadcast. He and Sex Pistol guitarist Steve Jones were egged on by Bill Grundy on Today to utter a longer, more obscene burst of obscenities in December 1976. The outburst made the Pistols national villians, put them on the front page of most British newspapers and cemented punk rock in the public consciousness. - Click Here for the Full Story

Avril May

Aerosmith Blues
MTV reports: After Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry present a Grammy on Sunday, they'll return to Boston to put the finishing touches on their long-promised blues album, Honkin' on Bobo, due March 30.

The band hasn't yet decided on a single, and Perry said finding one that will work on modern radio is difficult. "I don't know if there's a top-40 radio hit in there," he said. "I'd like to see something with a hard bluesy vibe get played, but I don't know if there's anything like that on the charts right now. What we're doing definitely isn't hip-hop."

It also isn't exactly the blues at least not your grandfather's style of blues. While Honkin' on Bobo will include covers of songs by Muddy Waters, Fisher/Hopkins and Blind Willie McTell, the tunes have been reinterpreted in a way that's distinctly Aerosmith.- Click Here for the Full Story

Oasis Busted for Noel Walking
Chart Attack reports: Oasis' Gallagher brothers may be getting softer in their old age, but they're still reckless lawbreakers. According to the BBC, Noel Gallagher was questioned by police after he was photographed breaking the law.

The senior Gallagher has been questioned and may be fined for walking near railway tracks. That's right, he took a stroll by the tracks and now he may get dinged for up to 1,000 pounds sterling.

Noel was busted after a picture of him walking by the tracks appeared in a British newspaper on Monday (February 2). Noel was pictured near Cornwall, where Oasis are currently working on their new album. When local police questioned him, Gallagher fully admitted to the crime. The cops are currently mulling over whether or not they want to charge him. - Click Here for the Full Story

No stupid comment needed, the story speaks for itself.

Poncho-Gate
AP reports: Forget Janet Jackson (news): The Veterans of Foreign Wars is peeved at Kid Rock.

The VFW is upset that media outlets are ignoring the poncho Rock wore during the Super Bowl halftime show, which was made by cutting a slit in an American flag. Rock later tossed the flag into the crowd.

The VFW's commander in chief, Edward Banas Senior, says Rock's outfit was "in poor taste and extremely disrespectful." Banas lamented that the NFL, MTV and CBS have issued apologies for Justin Timberlake's ripping Janet Jackson's clothes but have said nothing about Rock. - Click Here for the Full Story

But isn't there an outcry of the lameness of p.diddy's selfserving rap? Who cares who writes the checks? Isn't the fact that this guy made millions with raps like this and standing around in other peoples videos offensive to anyone? If we're gonna get offended at everything, let's get offended by every bling!

Cornelius Bumpus died Tuesday of a heart attack while on a flight from New York to Los Angeles, said his family. He was 58.

In a statement on Bumpus' Web site, his family said the plane made an unscheduled stop in Sioux City, Iowa to try and get help for him.

"Cornelius was a man of great modesty and simplicity," Bumpus' wife, Linda, also said in the statement. "His life was music, family and church. He never liked giving talks or speeches (he always felt more articulate with a horn in his mouth), so in that spirit I will keep this brief." - Click Here for the Full Story

Spector's Smoking Nail?
AP reports: The defense in music producer Phil Spector's murder case has refused to turn over a torn piece of the victim's fingernail, blackened with gunpowder residue, prosecutors said in court documents released Wednesday.

Deputy District Attorney Douglas Sortino demanded that attorney Robert Shapiro turn over the evidence, which he said was collected by the defense after sheriff's deputies overlooked it in their investigation of the crime scene.

Prosecutors had earlier said the defense had a mystery "item of physical evidence," but identified it in the motion filed Monday as the fingernail of actress Lana Clarkson - Click Here for the Full Story

Purple Haze Law
Ananova reports: UK-based indie record label Purple Haze Records is suing the lawyers of the Jimi Hendrix company Experience Hendrix LLC and the company itself.

Purple Haze Records says it has launched the legal action over rights to a 1966 Jimi Hendrix concert in Stockholm, which it released in the UK in January as a CD.

They say the legal action will allege malicious interference with a third party contract and say they went out of their way to clear the issue of ownership of the recording before the release of the album.

The firm says it has also reported three lawyers from Eversheds to the Attorney General of the UK. - Click Here for the Full Story
