Ja Rule's Manager Arrested
AP reports: Ja Rule's manager was arrested Wednesday as part of an investigation into the music label once known as Murder Inc.

Ron "Gutta" Robinson, 29, was arraigned on money laundering charges in federal court and released on $500,000 bond.

Robinson was accused of conspiring with other unidentified suspects to launder more than $1 million between 1997 and 2002. Feds Investigate Dylan Song
MuchMusic reports: U.S. Secret Service agents were called in to investigate teens in Boulder, Colorado over a planned performance of Bob Dylan's "Masters Of War" at a high school event. Parents complained that the students were using the song to call for the death of George Bush. The principal of the school says government agents questioned him and the teacher in charge of the concert, and asked for a copy of the lyrics to the song. - Click Here for the Full Story

Ashlee Not 'Dishonest'
MuchMusic reports: Ashlee Simpson spoke to MuchNews last weekend about her disastrous appearance on Saturday Night Live earlier this fall. "It was a situation that wasn't really my fault," the 20-year-old singer said in Los Angeles, on the set of the video for her new single, "La La". "I was sick, it was something I couldn't help so I just kind of put it behind me." Joe Simpson, Ashlee's dad and manager, complained about the press coverage of the SNL fiasco, saying, "You would have thought we got an abortion or we were doing cocaine. Did we do something wrong here? Nothing we did was dishonest."

Priest Vs The Damned
AP reports: A clergyman has criticized a city's decision to ask an aging punk band to switch on its annual civic display of Christmas lights.

The Damned, the Rev. Stephen Leeke said Wednesday, do not really encapsulate the spirit of the season.

"I do not think they are the best people to be switching on the Christmas lights," said Leeke, vicar of St. Martin's Church in Cambridge, 50 miles north of London. "I think perhaps it would be more appropriate for them to switch them off. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Our Lady of Cheese
antiMUSIC reports: [Not even remotely music related, but some good cheese fun for a Thursday] Diana Duyser of Hollywood, Florida, had a one of kind relic that has brought her many blessings (including big winnings at the casino) and she decided to offer the item on eBay for one lucky bidder. Duyser is in possession of a 10-year-old half of a grilled cheese sandwich. Not just any grilled cheese sandwich, this one is divine! It carries the image of the Virgin Mary. Duyser listed the holy sandwich last week and it became an instant hit with the faithful. In a few days the eBay page which held the auction for this one of a kind relic had been viewed almost 100,000 times and the bidding topped $22,000. But the auction was martyred. eBay held an inquisition last Sunday and deemed the auction a heresy against their doctrine which states "thou shalt not list jokes on eBay". But when Duyser confessed her true faithfulness to eBay, having been a member for over 2-years, and swore a holy oath that the divine sandwich was no joking matter, the high priests at eBay deemed it worthy of auction and the bidding resumed.

Although heretics have tried to confuse eBayers with false idols, such as a grilled cheese sandwich carrying the image of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, the faithful have resumed their devotion to the holy sandwich that the Blessed Mother visited upon. One faithful bidder has such devotion that at press time the relic was selling for $99,999,999.00. - Click Here for the Full Story

Busted Gets Busted By Greenmuse
[Because of the paint fumes from a recent office remodel, we have another bit of fun for you on this fine Thursday. If holy grilled cheese doesn't do it for you, perhaps the musings of the Greenmuse will, as our beloved columnist lost a bet and was subjected to reviewing another form of cheese--the debut CD from Busted. Here is but a sampling of his review, you'll have to click the full story link to read it in its fully musing glory!]

Where to start? Basically Busted is the band for you if you like Britany Spears but don't want to admit it to your Blink 182 fan friends, and you would like Avril Lavinge, but her music packs too much balls to the wall rock n roll for you. That only begins to scratch the surface of these jokers. Linkin Park has been called a boyband with guitars, but mostly in jest, Busted is exactly that. I wouldn't be surprised if one or more of these guys are ex-members of Westlife. Lets get on to a song by song breakdown of this, which is honestly the worst thing I've ever heard since the Op Ivy tribute album (anyone who knows me knows how low I regard that album)

"What I go to school for": Whew doggie, now this is the single that most people associate with this band. In the credits, the band thanks Blink 182 for inspiration. This song could almost be a Blink song almost, blink rocks way harder than this. The song is about a kid having a crush on his teacher and sings about the teacher being what he goes to school for, then later in the song the teacher tells him he is what she goes to school for and has "packed a bag in the trunk, looks like she picked herself a hunk". Then the two drive by the school much to the amazement of the kid's friends. Isn't there laws against this? Maybe in England there isn't, but here in the U.S. of A we take a firm stand against this sort of thing. Oh this also reminds me of a re-occurring theme of this album-these guys are cute and great. Just in case you didn't know. Most of their songs seem to be a self fellating ego trip. Sucky sucky boys. Also pro-tooled and produced out the wazoo. Maybe I haven't bought a CD in a long time, but is it common practice to have the pro-tools guy listed in the credits after each song?

"Crashed the Wedding": another song that starts off almost rocking, then that darn Chris Kirkpatrick comes in and starts singing lost tracks off of Nsync's never released album. This tune is about how great this guy is that he can crash a wedding and regain the girl that is rightfully his. Though her father didn't want them to be together because the kid had no job. Doesn't that father know that he is no match for the hotness of a member of Busted? ? ? Silly father, jobs are for "not hot" people! [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
