White Stripes Sued
Launch reports: The White Stripes have been hit with a lawsuit over their self-titled 1999 debut album, according to NME.com. James Diamond alleges that he co-produced and collaborated with Jack and Meg White on recording sessions that eventually became the Detroit duo's first release. Diamond is looking for back royalties from sales of the album, "ownership interest" in the master recordings, and a share of future profits. He claims that he provided the Stripes with "additional artistic suggestions, supervision and contributions" during the sessions. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

liveDaily reports: Nine Inch Nails brain trust Trent Reznor has canned the working title of the group's next album, previously known as "Bleedthrough," and has given fans an idea of when to expect to see it in stores.

"'Bleedthrough' is no more," Reznor wrote in a message posted at the group's website. "As the songs and concepts matured, the focus and theme of the album shifted somewhat--leaving me feeling that title was inappropriate. Or you could just say I changed my mind.

"Yes, the new album has a title and track list, and no I'm not telling you what it is yet," he continued.

INS Vs. Subhumans
Citzenfish.com reports: OK, the unthinkable has happened. Due to an understaffed US immigration dept and increased security regulations, they've been unable to process our visas on time for the tour, despite the applications being on theirr desk way back in July, so it looks like AT LEAST the first five shows are off, though I'm sure theyll go ahead with the other bands, UNSEEN, CAUSTIC CHRIST, and SEVEN CROWNS who are all fantastic, so please go along anyway. As soon as we get our appointment through for our fingerprinting, eye-scans, and vetting at the US embassy in London we can rebook our plane tickets (no refund on the old ones) and finally get on with the tour. To any of you thinking we should just come over without visas, as soon as they tap in our passport numbers they see we haven't had our visas issued and send us home and won't let us back for five years minimum, and possibly won't ever let us back in so no more tours in the US ever.....etc etc. so not a very clever thing to try. Sorry, and fingers crossed that we get there soon[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
