Outkast, Parks Settle

(liveDaily) Hip-hop group OutKast and civil rights icon Rosa Parks have reached a settlement in a long-running dispute surrounding the group's use of Parks' name as a song title.

In one portion of the settlement, revealed in a press release issued Thursday (4/14), OutKast agreed to perform on a tribute CD marking the 50th anniversary of Parks' arrest, an incident that helped to spark the Civil Rights movement. Also, "an educational tribute television broadcast special" about Parks' life will be produced, and a DVD of the broadcast will be distributed to public schools.[see full story for more] - Click here for the Full Story
