Snoop Rape Update
Gigwise reports: The makeup artist who was trying to sue rapper Snoop Dogg for millions of dollars has dropped all charges.

The dropped lawsuit alleged that the make up artist, Kylie Bell, had been raped by Snoop and members of his entourage following a taping of the 'Jimmy Kimmel Live Show', where Snoop was a guest host back in 2003. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Love Warrants
MTV reports: Two Los Angeles judges issued bench warrants for the arrest of Courtney Love on Wednesday (August 10) but are holding them until her next hearing, after the Los Angeles district attorney's office asked that her probation be revoked at her two status hearings Wednesday. CBGB Victory
AP reports: A civil court judge ruled Wednesday that the landmark punk club CBGB's can't be evicted from its Bowery location, saying it shouldn't be punished for not noticing it owed its landlord money. 

The ruling was a victory for the club where groups like the Ramones and Blondie defined the punk scene in the 1970s, but CBGB's future is still uncertain.

Metalcore Dying?
Blabbermouth reports: AS I LAY DYING vocalist Tim Lambesis recently told the Great Falls Tribune that the sub-genre of metalcore is nearing its expiration.

"I think metal core is a trend right now and so it's easy to write a metal core record," Lambesis said.

"I think it's pretty much at its peak right now. It'll get a little bigger this summer. Sounds of the Underground is going out. Ozzfest is going out. Those are both big tours that feature a lot of metal core bands. Real Dream Theater
Blabbermouth reports: Work has begun on a stage production of DREAM THEATER's acclaimed concept album, "Scenes from a Memory". This is a full-stage production, not a performance of the album.
