Axl
Vs Guns |
BW&BK reports: As previously reported,
GUNS N' ROSES REVISITED, consisting of original GN'R drummer Steven Adler
and guitarist Tracii Guns, along with ADLER'S APPETITE vocalist Sheldon
Tarsha and rhythm guitarist Keri Kelli, as well as bass player Robbie Crane
had been booked to perform seven shows in Asia, spanning late August into
early September.
However, BW&BK scribe Aaron Small spoke
with Tracii earlier today: "I really wanted to do that but it didn't happen.
Those dates are all cancelled. Sanctuary Management, who handles Axl (Rose)
now, threatened bloody murder. I thought it was great. When I saw the logo
they were using and the ad over there, it was killer! How are we getting
away with this? I don't really have anything to do with the band.[see full

Lil
Mo Vs Ja Rule |
Contact Music reports: R+B singer LIL' MO
has announced plans to slap rapper JA RULE with a $15 million (GBP8.3 million)
lawsuit in a battle over unpaid royalties [and who can claim the title
of silliest stage name].
The singer says she's sent out letters
of intent to sue to the rapper, Murder Inc Records and Def Jam for money
she claims she's owed for her part in the 2001 hit song PUT IT ON ME.
She tells Allhiphop.com, "That (song) helped
boost (Ja Rule's) career. That was a huge song. I helped make him an icon
- so they have to pay.
"I had to search for the right lawyer that
would take the case so they wouldn't have any ties to Murder Inc or Def
Jam or anything to do with that song. I told the lawyer, 'It's not about
the money, it's about the principle.'[see full story for more]-

Ebolie
Gets Hobo |
Day in Rock reports: antiMusic's very own
master of brutal metal has joined the ranks of Ebolie, Australia's premier
grindcore band. Hobo has joined the band, filling the bassist slot and
tells us that his first gigs with the band will be in about six weeks with
none other than F*ck I'm Dead with possible dates early next year with
Sick of it All, with Anal Blast, Macabre and Ghoul. We'll keep you posted
on that. We're proud of our Hobo here at antiMusic and wish him luck in
his new endeavor. And the next time a mallcore kid uses the cliché
"I don't see you making music" when reading one of Hobo's brutally honest
reviews, he can tell the kid to check out Ebolie to hear some real metal
or he can still tell him to sod off. Check out the full story link to read
DeadSun's take on Ebolie's music. - Click

Help Throwrag |
Day in Rock reports: One of our regular readers
took us to task because we failed to mention "13 Feet & Rising" the
new release from Throwrag which hit stories earlier this summer. We apologize
for this oversight as it should have been a top news item for us. Why?
Besides from the fact that these local heros kick some serious you know
what? This blurb from their label BYO Records explains it all!
"The wait is over! The long anticipated
follow up to Throw Rags first album (Desert Shores) features 14 brand new
tracks. Included on the album are special guest appearances by the likes
of Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), Keith Morris (Circle Jerks), and none
other than the legendary Lemmy Kilmeister (Motorhead). "
Our faithful reader also points out that
the album also features "a kick ass version of Merle Haggard's 'The bottle
let me down' A must hear." So what in the hell are you still reading this
for? Go buy the damn album already! And go see the band on tour [see full
