Report for 12/09/05
Editorial: Fatal Club Shooting
Versus The Mirror reports: Greetings Everyone. My name is Gabe and I play guitar in a band called Versus The Mirror. I write to everyone in a complete state of disbelief. There was a shooting at a hardcore show (Hoods, Shattered Realm, Donnybrook) here in Tucson, AZ that resulted in a death. The show was held at our main all ages venue and arts center, Skrappys. After a huge fight broke out inside the venue, the brawl kept going outside until shots were fired. A few people were also said to be fighting with hammers. Nuts. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who was involved or witnessed this tonight.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

antiMusic reports: The nominations are in for the 48th annual Grammy® Awards a.k.a. Rap/R&B Awards a.k.a. the music establishment's answer to an ASB election. Kanye West, John Legend and Mariah Carey lead the decline of popular music with nominations in eight categories. Of course, they had a wealth of categories to qualify in (see list below).

Common, Destiny's Child, Jermaine Dupri, Foo Fighters, Gorillaz, Neptunes, Brad Paisley and Gretchen Wilson all snagged four nominations.

Surprisingly, 50 Cent who had the best selling album of the year did not snag nominations in the major categories (album, record, etc), Coldplay was also shutout of the major categories, because we all know that Hollaback Girl was the seminal recording of the year if not the century!
