(Audio Aggression) According to a NY Times article, Sony BMG is close to a settlement with the NY Attorney General to resolve accusations that it used "improper tactics" to influence radio programmers to play its songs. As part of the alleged settlement, Sony BMG is expected to admit misconduct in its radio promotion practices, end its use of independent promoters, forgo future use of "spin programs" (where labels pay stations to play crap over and over again to make it higher on the charts), and pay a multi-million dollar fine. - Click here for the Full Story
