Street Scene 05
Pollstar reports: Back in in 1984, San Diego Street Scene was a small, bi-annual event that has since grown to quite the respectable festival. This is set to be Street Scene's biggest year ever, with more than 30 artists scheduled to perform. 

Headliners for the Rock and Roll end of the music will include The Pixies, The White Stripes, The Killers, The Flaming Lips, Death Cab For Cutie, Garbage, and so on. Ben Harper Tour
Pollstar reports: In response to the Zooma Tour cancellation, Ben Harper has decided to do a special tour of intimate venues around the U.S. and Canada to say thanks to his fans before he heads into the studio to work on his next album.

Radiohead Decline Live 8
Contact Music reports: Acclaimed rockers RADIOHEAD have turned down the chance to perform at the London LIVE 8 concert on 2 July (05), because they are busy enjoying their time away from the music business.

Reuters reports: Guitar legend Les Paul will celebrate his 90th birthday with his first new studio album since 1978's "Guitar Monsters," a collaboration with the late Chet Atkins. Life of Agony 2nd Stage
Epileptic Records reports: Epic recording artists LIFE OF AGONY will headline the second stage of this summer's Gigantour, a six-week festival featuring Megadeth, Dream Theater, Dillinger Escape Plan and Fear Factory, among others. The speaker-shattering tour begins July 21 at the Selland Arena in Fresno, CA.

conqueroo reports: Fresh on the heels of the controversy surrounding Carl's Jr.'s latest television ad campaign featuring a soaped-up scantily-clad Paris Hilton, Santa Monica-based independent record label HUM Recordings, a division of HUM Music, today announced plans to release a full-length version of Cole Porter's classic "I Love Paris" as sung by indie rocker Eleni Mandell. The song will be available on Wednesday, June 6 exclusively on iTunes. 

The new version of the song, sung by Mandell and arranged by HUM's Rob Lopez, has generated significant buzz among consumers. The response has been so overwhelming that the song has taken on a life of its own, prompting HUM Recordings to draft plans for an immediate commercial release.
