Eminem Suicidal?
antiMusic reports: Eminem is having a really tough couple of weeks. First his remarriage to Kim ends, then his friend Proof gets killed and now one of his supposed friends is telling the press that he may be suicidal.

When you fear for your friend's safety the best solution is always to run anonymously to the press. That's what an "unnamed" friend of Em did. This "friend" reportedly told mediatakeout.com, "I'm not sure that (Eminem) can handle all this ... I'm worried that he may try to hurt himself."

We won't recount Eminem's other recent misfortunes for enquiring minds, he has enough to deal with right now like checking his friends.

Wham & Run
antiMusic reports: Police are in hot pursuit of George Michael after the pop singer reportedly played bumper cars on a street near his home on Sunday. It wasn't a very even fight as Michael reportedly plowed his Range Rover first into a helpless Ford Fiesta and caped off his smashing morning by hitting a Peugeot 204 which in turn slammed into a Rover 218. He didn't bother to stick around.

UK press outlets report that police will question the singer about the smash-ups that occurred Sunday in Highgate, north London. A rep for Michael reportedly told police about the accidents on Monday. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Stripes Vs Diamond
antiMusic reports: Jack and Meg are holding back on the cash. So claims Jim Diamond who co-produced and engineered the White Stripes self-titled 1999 debut and mixed 2000's De Stijl. Diamond filed suit in Detroit federal court claiming the White Stripes owe him millions for work he did on those albums.

Jack and Meg reportedly consider Diamond one of the "Little People" as they claim in court papers that Jim was paid $35 an hour for his services and use of his Ghetto Recorders studio and is not entitled to more. Their attorney Bert Deixler says, "It is a meritless case which will be defended with vigor." A jury of their peers will get a chance to decide that when the case heads to federal court in Detroit on June 12th. Maybe the court will also discover the true nature of Jack and Meg's relation? - Click Here for the Full Story

U2 Win Something Else
antiMusic reports: Don't you just love polls? We do too, we conduct them then never publish the results (we can tell you that Good Charlotte and Sum 41 tied our lamest bands of all time poll) but we're not talking about us, we're talking about a new poll that's all the rage over in the UK which places the U2's lyric to "One" as the bestest most wonderful words put to song ever and ever ("and that's a mighty long time" to steal from another song). Now don't let that "leave a bad taste in your mouth" Vh1(UK) did poll 13,000 people for this and the words "One life, with each other, sisters, brothers" were deemed the best in the land that gave us Shakespeare and Byron. Only to be slightly outdone, The Smiths claimed second place with the immortal words "So you go, and you stand on your own, and you leave on your own, and you go home, and you cry, and you want to die," from their hit "How Soon is Now?" You may be thinking, hey this poll stinks but it really does get better when it begins to smell like teen spirit as Nirvana claims third place with "I feel stupid and contagious, here we are now, entertain us".

Still reading? Ok well the good folks over at Gigwise have reprinted the Top 20 for your reading pleasure. But before you click over, take a guess at where Radiohead's Creep landed on the poll and these immortal words from the poet Tupac "Now Let Me Welcome Everybody To The Wild, Wild West, A State That's Untouchable Like Elliot Ness".

Daniel Johnston's Due
The Tripwire reports: Ten years of struggling to gain acceptance in the music and art worlds would be enough to make most men throw in the towel and get a job at MacDonald's, but not Daniel Johnston. He's been making music and art in relative obscurity (save for a few minutes in the '90s when Kurt Cobain wore his t-shirt) for more than twice that long.

But finally, after 23 years as a struggling artist, Johnston is having the year of his life. For starters, on March 31, Sony Pictures Classics released the Sundance award-winning film The Devil And Daniel Johnston, a documentary about his troubled yet exceptional life.Last week, Johnston performed at a tribute concert in his honor at Barbican Hall in London featuring Teenage Fanclub, Vic Chesnutt, Jason Pierce of Spiritualized, James Yorkston and Howe Gelb. Metallica Toss Pots
Blabbermouth reports: METALLICA's Lars Ulrich has exclusively revealed to Kerrang! magazine that the band's new material has an "old-school" METALLICA flavor.

"The new stuff is much more organic, more old school. It certainly doesn't feel like 'St. Anger' Part Two," Ulrich adds. "When we were rehearsing for our South African shows and started playing the 'St. Anger' stuff, it definitely felt very different to the rest of the set because of how the songs were put together. It was really important to make that record in the way we did because of the chaotic internal vibe at that time: 'St. Anger' was a statement, 55 minutes of brutality packed onto a CD, proving to ourselves that we still had the spark. 'St. Anger' was fun but we don't need to make that album again."[no pots and pans for drums, no shrink and a better producer. Could it be? see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
