Metal Sludge reports: Joey Allen of Warrant recently talked to BlastingZone and let loose on a few things, and a few people too. Jani Lane & Scott Ian included.

"I saw Scott Ian on TV the other night sayin' 'oh, "Heaven" was this and "Heaven" was that' All I gotta say is dude, have you ever even had a Gold record? Have you ever had people like your music that much? If you did, you might not be as bitter." Cheech and Bolton?
antiMusic reports: Cheech won't be teaming up with Chong. Could it be Michael Bolton instead? Only from the mind of Simon Cowell Yes Simon has a new TV show that debuts on August 29th on that bastion of high quality intellectual stimulation FOX. No, it's not When Idols Attack, it's Celebrity Duets. The premise is simple, match a star (or formerly a star) singer with a celeb (that may or may not have used up their 15 minutes of fame) for a duet each week with the requisite elimination.

On the celeb side you have Cheech Marin, Lucy "Xena" Lawless, Lea Thompson McFly, Alfonso Ribeiro (Fresh Prince), wrestler Chris Jericho, Olympic gold medalist Carly Patterson, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy's Jai Rodriguez, Queer As Folk star Hal Sparks. Beanie Liar?
hecklerspray reports: It's a little-known fact that rappers actually have a bullet injury quota to maintain, and if too much time passes without them getting shot, they're ordered to do the guest vocals on a Pussycat Dolls single. It's true.

Luckily, angry chub rapper Beanie Sigel doesn't have to worry too much this quota since he only got shot three months ago. At the time, Beanie Sigel claimed that he was shot in the shoulder trying to stop his car getting stolen. However, police are now pouring scorn on Beanie Sigel's story, partly based on the fact that he went on the radio and more or less admitted that he made the whole shebang up.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Queensryche Reissue
PR reports: Rhino Entertainment will reissue Queensryche's album Q2K on August 29th, which is currently out of print and now contains previously unreleased material.

Queensrÿche recorded its seventh studio album in 1999 during a time of uncertainty. Emotionally devastated by the departure of one of its founding guitarists, the Seattle-based, progressive-metal quintet was also reeling from the twin losses of its management group and record company. Despite the chaos, Queensrÿche returned stronger than ever with an album that marked a new beginning. Rhino Records revisits the band's triumph of will with the remastered and expanded version of Q2K. The album will be available August 29th; the iTunes version of the album will also feature an interactive booklet with the exclusive video for "The Right Side Of My Mind." [wanna hear it?
