(thetripwire) 1966 marked the year of one of the best album releases of all time, according to many music snobs, The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds. Now, 40 years later, the band and Capitol Records are celebrating the milestone by releasing a limited edition deluxe CD/DVD and vinyl package next week. Each audio set comes with one disc with the original mono program, while the second disc features a stereo mix. The DVD will have interviews with Sir George Martin, Brian Wilson, Tony Asher, The Beach Boys, Pete Townsend, Elvis Costello and other various Pet Sounds musicians.

In the meantime, there are several podcasts that will start running today through October up on the band's fan site that will host interviews about every single song on the record. [see full story for more info] - Click here for the Full Story
