Guitarist Murdered
liveDaily reports: Guitarist Bryan Harvey, who was half of the early '90s duo House of Freaks, was found murdered along with his wife and two daughters in their suburban Richmond, VA, home over the New Year's weekend.

The bodies of Harvey, 49, his wife Kathryn, 39, and their two daughters, Stella, 9, and Ruby, 4, were discovered Sunday (1/2) when firefighters responded to a 911 call reporting a fire at the family's home.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Elliott Smith tribute
Aversion reports: The Elliott Smith tribute album will surface early next month.

As previously reported, several indie bands will take a stab at Smith songs in a collection set to raise money for a pair of charities. Pearl Jam Beat Squatter
Aversion reports: Pearl Jam essentially evicted a squatter who was using a Pearl Jam-related domain as a gateway to commercial sites.

The National Arbitration Forum ruled in favor of Pearl Jam last week, yanking control of a site, PearlJams.com, from a webmaster who used it as a gateway for affiliate sites and paid advertising.
