(CMJ) Austin-based Spoon is heading out this summer on what might be best described as a mini-excursion. The band, who released Gimme Fiction in 2005, is set to perform at the Pitchfork Music Festival on the same day as Tapes 'N Tapes and Yo La Tengo. Then they're off to share the stage with the Mates Of State and Death Cab For Cutie for five California shows.
