Motley Fight
Day in Rock reports: Tommy Lee reportedly had a run-in with "Las Vegas" actor Josh Duhamel at Bella nightclub in Los Angeles Tuesday night (June 27). A witness told the New York Post that while "Duhamel pounded on the men's room door and yelled 'Hurry up!', a friend told him, 'Stop, Tommy's in there', but 'Josh replied, 'Tommy who? Tommy Lee, who cares?' Tommy heard that and came out of the bathroom. Words were exchanged and Josh ended up on the floor - I don't know if he was pushed or punched. Josh bolted outside and called for Tommy to meet him and 'fight like a man.' Tommy was restrained and sent out the back door by security. Josh never did get to use the bathroom." Gigwise reports: The Killers' Brandon Flowers has launched yet another scathing attack on emo bands like Fallout Boy.

"We don't wanna dislike anyone, and we've still never met Fall Out Boy, but there's a creature inside me that wants to beat all those bands to death. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Band Vs CBS Rockstar
Day in Rock reports: Orange County punk band Supernova is reportedly taking legal action against CBS over the second season of Rock Star which debuts on the network next Wednesday (July 5th). The show features Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke, and former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted searching for a singer for a group that they have named Supernova.

The OC band, who's song "Chewbacca" was featured in the film "Clerks," claims they own the rights to the name they have used for 20 years. "You can't just waltz up and use our name," Supernova drummer Dave Collins told MTV. "We're willing to fight for our name, our band. We have trademark rights to the name and we can prove those rights."

The band has reportedly sent CBS a cease-and-desist letter as they don't want their name associated with a bunch of "washed-up metalheads", but their attorney says that the disput haven't gotten that serious yet. Petty Not Red Hot over Song Theft
antiMusic reports: Tom Petty was expected to sue to the Red Hot Chili Peppers over the striking similarities between their new song "Dani California" and his hit "Mary Jane's Last Dance". However, Tom isn't going to be petty over the alleged theft. According to Contact Music Petty told PageSix, "I seriously doubt that there is any negative intent there. And a lot of rock 'n' roll songs sound alike. Ask Chuck Berry. The Strokes took American Girl, and I saw an interview with them where they actually admitted it. That made me laugh out loud. I was like, 'OK, good for you'. "If someone took my song note for note and stole it maliciously, then maybe (I'd sue). But I don't believe in lawsuits much. I think there are enough frivolous law suits in this country without people fighting over pop songs."- Click Here for the Full Story

Kook-182
antiMusic reports: Here is something to ponder over the 4th of July weekend. We rarely run political articles because like America our writers are all over the map politically but this story was just too entertaining to pass up and demonstrates how far out some people can go in their political thoughts and partisanship. And to be fair, there are plenty of kooks on the left and the right with far flung conspiracy theories aimed at their political opponents; it must be easier for both sides than actually debating real issues. Either that or they forgot to take their Prozac. In the 90s we had right wing kooks convinced Bill Clinton ran drugs out of Arkansas air fields while he was governor of that state. Now we have leftwing kooks convinced Bush and Cheney never make a move without considering how it will profit Halliburton or their oil buddies. The latest to join the far-left conspiracy theory kook brigade is pop-punkster Tom DeLonge.

Perhaps Tom had taken some of the Clinton imported drugs before hitting the airwaves as guest host on San Diego's 91X (Mexican owned to further our conspiracy theory. Did you know Halliburton secretly owns Mexico and ran the drug cartels for Clinton? Don't believe us? We have proof! Vicente Fox is really Dick Cheney in disguise. Our theory is just as valid as any other. ) Anyway, the Angels and Airwaves frontman was on that radio station as part of their Operation KAVA and proclaimed that it was really the Bush administration behind 9/11 not bin Laden.
