Rock Hall KISS Off
Blabbermouth reports: KISS' official web site, KissOnline.com, has been updated with part two of a brand new interview with KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley. "The beauty of America is that you can basically start any kind of private club you want to. This one happens to be called the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It's a very impressive name for a club but it's an illusion. It's the creation of a group of industry people and critics who decide who they deem as qualified to be in their little admiration society. It's their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but it's not the people's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Have you ever voted? I know I haven't. That's why the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, besides having people who very much belong in there, have an abundance of people who most people will scratch their head and not even have a clue who they are. I don't have anything against anybody who's been inducted, but more than a couple of them are a joke. A band or musician's impact is measured by how they change and influence society and other musicians. That and how many albums and concert tickets they sell should be what gets them into the Hall of Fame. As far as I'm concerned it's a private club with a misleading name. It's a sham." The Slash & The Furious
antiMusic reports: Slash revealed on Camp Freddie Radio (hosted by Matt Sorum) that he just recorded some scoring for "The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift". He said it was the first time he has done scoring for a film and did about 50 different takes in the studio. He however did not write the music, the composer was Brian Tyler. He was able to watch parts of the film while recording and said that the movie will include one the coolest race scenes he's seen in distant memory. The film hits theatres on June 16th. See full story for the official site. Also Matt and Slash discussed the new Velvet Revolver CD and contrary to some reports they say they have not settled on a producer yet. However, Matt said they are doing one song with Dave Sardy (Wolfmother, Jet) and also said that unlike some reports that they were going more pop, "I think we're gonna be a little nastier sounding on this record hopefully." Slash added that everything's he heard so far was "awesome". They cleared up some of the producer rumors as well. On Lenny Kravitz rumor, they explaining that Duff had run into Lenny and the "Fly Away" rocker had offered to produce the new album. Slash added that what are usually casual conversations gets into the press and turns into something else. So as it stands the only confirmed producer working on the new album is Dave Sardy and that's only for one song. - Click Here for the Full Story

Whiter Teeth or Lighter Wallet?
Metal Sludge reports: Johnny & Joey Gioeli the brothers who formed Hardline are under investigation for a teeth whitening scam. These guys use to play the Sunset Strip as Brunette and hailed from Pennsylvania originally.

Mary Ann Hughes of Forest Park wanted to breathe life into her dead tooth. ...$3.95 on her debit card would cover the shipping. Instead of a trail size, Hughes received full supply, and an invoice. "So I opened that and there was a charge for $106.90."

There was a catch in the fine print. Anyone ordering the free treatment, instantly agreed to pay for a shipment of the product every 60 days. They'd have to call to cancel or the whitener and charges would keep coming. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
