2&2 4Tues: Robert Patrick (Army of Anyone/Filter)
antiMusic reports: Welcome to a new feature here called 2&2 4Tuesday! We kick things off with a special 2 minute/2 second interview with Robert Patrick of Filter fame. antiMusic's Johnny Hardcore gets the lowdown on Robert's new supergroup Army of Anyone that also features the DeLeo brothers Robert & Dean from Stone Temple Pilots and David Lee Roth's drummer, Ray Luzier.

2&2: What is your favorite song on the album and why?

Richard: I love "A Better Place" because that's the first song we wrote together. Also, "It Doesn't Seem to Matter" is a great rock song. I love singing it!

2&2: Patrick, being clean and sober since September 28, 2002 you say has helped you with your lyrics. What is your feeling now when you pen songs as opposed to before that date?

Richard: When I was drinking, it made everything I wanted to accomplish more difficult. I wasn't as clear and present as I am now. Ultimately, when my brain was so soggy from the alcohol, I couldn't be as creative. [see the full story for a couple more questions and answers with Richard!]

TMZ reports: TMZ has obtained a lawsuit filed by the rock group Weezer against the Miller Brewing Company. The lawsuit, filed Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleges the beermaker used the name 'Weezer' in several ads that ran in Rolling Stone magazine in 2004. The lawsuit also names Miller's advertising agency and the production company that laid out the ads as defendants.

In the suit, the four members of the band (Rivers Cuomo, Brian Bell, Scott Shriner and Patrick Wilson) claim Miller used the Weezer name in the ads without their permission.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Nipplegate II?
pr-inside reports: Pop stars JANET JACKSON and JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE are planning to reunite on national TV for the first time since their disastrous performance at the Super Bowl, according to press reports in the US. The pair have barely spoken to each other since the infamous breast-baring incident in 2004 when Jackson's nipple was exposed to millions of viewers during a performance of Timberlake's hit ROCK YOUR BODY. The half-time show received worldwide ridicule and cost US network CBS $550,000 (£306,000) in indecency fines. Sources close to Jackson say she is in talks with Timberlake's people to appear together in "some sort of big, live show like the Grammys or the Oscars" as the ultimate publicity stunt.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

DMX Riot
pr-inside reports: A 29-year-old woman suffered a laceration to the head at a DMX concert in Uniondale, New York on Saturday (30SEP06), after being hit by a chair reportedly thrown from the stage. Police are investigating the incident as an assault after receiving a complaint from the victim, who was treated at Nassau University Hospital.

K*Fed Smackdown
celebrityweek.com reports: This weekend's one year anniversary bash at Tao got off to a somewhat volatile start when a bodyguard traveling with Kevin Federline got (literally) in the face of a red carpet photographer. Jill Ann Spaulding was outside the nightclub's entrance on Friday evening when Mr. Spears was asked to pose for pictures. He refused. According to witnesses, Spaulding, who was on assignment for photo agency Film Magic, began snapping shots anyway, prompting the bodyguard to approach her saying "Oh, no you don't." He then shoved the camera into the woman's nose and forehead. "I have really been in pain for three or four days now," Spaulding tells us. "I had to go back there again the next night and I was going to wear a football helmet." Though not captured on film, a snitch tells us K-Fed wore the same clothes Friday and Saturday nights: a black cap, wife beater and white button down shirt.- Click Here for the Full Story

Live Nation Vs Ticketmaster
CMJ reports: New ambitions from Live Nation, the largest concert production company in America, may threaten Ticketmaster's concert ticket dominance. In a recent interview, Michael Rapino, Chief Executive of Live Nation, told the L.A. Times that he is actively working to lower ticket prices for the 29,000 concert events that his firm produces every year. "Seventy percent of people didn't go to a concert last year, and even the average concert fan only attends about two shows a year," Rapino noted. "We can grow this industry by lowering prices."

Ticketmaster currently serves as the exclusive ticket outlet for nearly all Live Nation events. Fees incurred by their services frequently raise ticket prices by 25-35 percent. Last year, average ticket prices rocketed to $57 for the most popular gigs. Meanwhile, Ticketmaster collected almost $1 billion off of the fees and surcharges.
