Beatle Wifebeater?
TMZ reports: Sir Paul McCartney says he's going to fight his estranged wife tooth and nail, but not in the press. The ex-Beatle issued a statement through his reps, and Paul has made it clear he will "vigorously" defend himself in divorce court. In court documents leaked to several London newspapers, Heather Mills alleges Paul brutalized her and was often drunk or high on drugs.

In the statement, McCartney's reps say "Our client would very much like to respond in public and in detail to the allegations made recently against him by his wife and published in the press but he recognizes, on advice, that the only correct forum for his response to the allegations made against him is in the current divorce proceedings." Guns N' Roses Release Confirmed
antiMusic reports: Guns N' Roses manager Merck Mercuriadis confirmed to Rolling Stone that the long awaited 'Chinese Democracy,' will be in stores before the end of the year but would not confirm the Nov 21st date a source gave the magazine earlier this month. "I don't know that we will announce a release date," Mercuriadis says. "You just might walk into your record shop one Tuesday and find it there."

The magazine released a web news post on Wednesday with tidbits from an article by Brian Hiatt in the new issue of the magazine, which hits newsstands on Friday. Sebastian Bach, who is opening for GNR on their North American tour was on hand at a party at Axl's house last month where those in attendance were treated to a full preview of the album. "There's this one song called 'Sorry' that's almost like doom metal with Axl singing really clean over this grinding, slow beat that is f***ing mean," says Bach. "I cannot get it out of my head." Bach had more to say about the album, see that at the full story link.

Another tidbit in the article is that a source close to the band confirmed that Andy Wallace (mixed Nirvana's 'Nevermind' and Velvet Revolver's debut) is working on the project. - Click Here for the Full Story

OutKast: Guns For Tot
Gigwise reports: Outkast star Andre 3000 has landed in hot water after telling a magazine that he'd like to buy a gun for his 9-year-old son. The rapper - real name Andre Benjamin - said that his son Steven should carry a gun in future due to the heat of everyday life.

He's quoted as saying: "I would want my son to carry a gun when he gets older. It's just something you have got to have if you want to be safe." But anti-gun campaigners have reacted angrily to the comments, saying that a man in his position should not support carrying guns. You guys fight your own fing battles. And by the way, if you're in the United States right now and you're illegal you've got a 90-day grace period. Get out.'
