Screech Sex Tape
TMZ reports: [since he has attempted a music career as well, we're featuring this. That and it's just too funny] TMZ has obtained portions of the latest celebrity sex tape, featuring former "Saved by the Bell" star Dustin Diamond, who played Screech. To say the least, the video is unique and, dare we say, entertaining.

David Hans Schmidt, who has become famous in the sex tape industry by peddling videos featuring Paris Hilton, Colin Farrell and others, claims ownership to the Screech tape. It was shot in a hotel. Diamond is holding the camera and narrating, as he engages two women in various combinations and positions.

The tape begins with Diamond in a bathtub, narrating what's to come. It ends with Diamond introducing one of the women to a "Dirty Sanchez." Suffice it say, it is unbelievably graphic. [see full story for more including some video clips] - Click Here for the Full Story

Bad Bitch Avril
TMZ reports: [We have enough real news today to keep you happy but we couldn't resist this one] Cameramen beware, Avril Lavigne's a spitter! The "Complicated" singer, never known for her kindness to the paparazzi, hocked a loogie at TMZ's photographer last night in front of Hyde nightclub.

Here's how it all went down: Avril was spotted getting into an SUV with husband Deryck Whibley, and the newlyweds got hot and heavy in the back seat. After getting interrupted by a couple of friends, the photogs went wild trying to get a shot of them. Lavigne then stuck her head out of the side window, and yelled "Hey f***head, come here" to our cameraman. His gift for responding to her pet name -- her saliva in his camera lens. The group then broke into laughter, with someone in the SUV calling Avril a "bad bitch" before driving off.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

SoundScam?
Megaforce reports: Mushroomhead's "Savior Sorrow" sells 26,084 and entering the Billboard Chart at # 30 in its first week sales, according to influential music trade Hits Daily Double and record company estimates. But the controversy over sales numbers this week is the talk of the music industry with many questions and doubts being raised about the accuracy of sales computing methods, most notably Billboard's Soundscan. On September 26, SoundScan alerted all paid subscribers via email that the numbers for the week may be inaccurate and that they will "extrapolate" for the missing sales data and to be "please advised that there may be anomalies in the data for the week ending 9/24/06." SoundScan did not indicate who did not report this week, so everyone's is in the dark. Data seems to indicate SoundScan did not accept Best Buy's sales data, but SoundScan would not give out this information.

Could have Elton John's "The Captain & The Kid" sell 47,493, according to Hits, then SoundScan reports sales of 36,630? According to Megaforce sales data, Mushroomhead seems to have sold closer to the Hits Daily Double number of 26,000 units than SoundScan's reporting of 12,183. How could there be such a shortfall in reporting? On a side note, Megaforce pays over $26,000 a year to receive sales numbers from Soundscan. Shouldn't it be Soundscan's job to report the actual sales numbers, not a guessing game. This industry, according to SoundScan, has been down in recent years, but who can you believe anymore?- Click Here for the Full Story

Justin Beats Aiken
Yahoo reports: Clay Aiken just got another dose of the runner-up blues. In a week that saw five albums top 100,000 in sales and five debut in the Top 10, the American Idol also-ran failed to rally enough members of the Clay Nation to dethrone Justin Timberlake. The ex-'N Syncer sold 217,000 copies of FutureSex/LoveSounds for the week ended Sunday Aiken trailed by 12,000 copies as A Thousand Different Ways finished with 205,000--about a third as many copies of his 2003 post-Idol debut, Measure of a Man.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Itsy Bitsy Hoax
AP reports: The man who co-wrote the song "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" had the unsettling experience this week of reading his own obituary - the result of an impostor who went through life claiming to be the author of the 1960s smash hit.

On Tuesday, The Associated Press reported on the death of a 68-year-old man named Paul Van Valkenburgh of Ormond Beach, Fla., who claimed to have written the song under the name Paul Vance. The story cited the man's wife as the source for that claim. But the music industry's real Paul Vance, a 76-year-old man from Coral Springs, Fla., is alive and well, and says the other Paul Vance appears to have made the whole thing up.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Video Games Too Violent for Slayer
pr-inside reports: SLAYER frontman TOM ARAYA has hit out at violent video games, and fears they will turn today's children in to dangerous criminals.

The 45-year-old thrash rocker, whose band's song lyrics include "die by my hand in pools of blood", refuses to discuss how violence in music affects children - but highlights computer games as a genuine danger to kids. He says, "Kids have become so desensitised to violence, you know? I saw this video game recently where the point was to sell drugs and kill as many people as possible.

"You've got to wonder what a child who plays that is going to be like in 20 years' time."

Apple Owns Podcasts?
music.tinfoil reports: Apple has done some pretty boneheaded things in the past. From shutting down third-party Macs, to the Newton and Pippen game console, they have had more than their share of mistakes. In short, when they screw up, they really screw up. But, when they hit onto something good, it's HUGE. The iMac, iPod, heck even the Mac Classic.

With this in mind, Apple is now starting to flex its legal muscles with respect to their "iPod" trademark.

Apple recently sent a Cease & Desist order to a new company called Podcast Ready, claiming they are infringing on Apple's trademarks with the terms "Podcast Ready" and "myPodder" even though neither term contains the word iPod. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
