Danzig Explains Lost Tracks
PR reports: If you've been craving new Danzig material, then get your music player ready. On May 29, evilive will release "The Lost Tracks of Danzig," a two-CD set comprised of 26 previously unreleased tracks that span Danzig's entire career. All of the tracks were recorded during the band's seven-album "arc" that began with 1988's "Danzig."

"Whenever I've made a new album, I've recorded more songs than were needed for the final CD," said Glenn Danzig. "The songs that make it onto the final album 'fit' or 'flow' together as a whole. Consequently, some tremendous Danzig songs have never been released, not because they weren't great, but because they didn't fit the overall vibe of the particular album, or for other reasons."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Gary Moore Gets Close
PR reports: Close As You Get from Irish Blues-Rock guitarist Gary Moore ups the blues ante of his '06 Old New Ballads Blues into a cohesive stripped-down blues-rock machine. Whether interpreting jump blues and urban blues classics (Chuck Berry's "Thirty Days" and Sonny Boy Williamson's "Eyesight To The Blind") or giving voice to his own compositions, Moore has been an amazingly consistent singer/songwriter/performer, ever since his emergence from the British Isles in the 1960s.

His work in Thin Lizzy and in Colosseum II (longtime Thin Lizzy drummer Brian Downey can be heard on Close As You Get) endeared Moore to more than one generation. He has continued to gravitate towards the earthy emotion-packed centers of gutbucket barrelhouse blues'n'boogie in his solo work, of which Close As You Get absolutely revels in. The CD hits stores on May 29th.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

From Punk Fur to Alt.Country Racehorse
PR reports: She may be transplanted from the streets of NYC to the highways of LA, but HOLLY RAMOS has left behind neither her edgy attitude nor musical talent. The former lead singer of punk rock band Fur has merged her swank and swagger with Americana alt.country on Racehorse, her debut solo CD slated for release May 29th. Never one to forget old friends, RAMOS has called upon her longtime occasional songwriting partner Jesse Malin to produce the cut "Waterfall" along with roots-rock poster boy Ryan Adams. And while 10 of the album's tracks are self-penned, RAMOS chose to include a breathtaking rendition of "Art Lover" by The Kinks' genius tunesmith Ray Davies.
RAMOS will travel back to her hometown NYC to grace her old stomping ground with a live concert at the Mercury Lounge on Tuesday, April 17th, opening for high school buddy Jesse Malin. As an advance to the official release of Racehorse, RAMOS will preview songs from the album in a solo acoustic performance.- Click Here for the Full Story

Today's Reviews
....Sonic Youth - The Destroyed Room: B-Sides and Rarities
Give a band a 4-track and a reel-to-reel, and chances are you will hear some of the most amazing music come from the simplistic approach. It's no surprise, then, that Sonic Youth went this very route in offering what is, while not for the faint of heart, probably one of the most beautiful albums to come out of 2006. (4 stars) - Read the full Sonic Youth - The Destroyed Room: B-Sides and Rarities review

....Dustsucker - Jack Knife Rendezvous
The next time anyone tells you that rock is dead, you hit 'em with this CD. This is a band that plays a balls-to-the-wall style of rock that could easily be found in an arena near you. If you like loud, fast old school RAWK, this is a band you need to check out. (3.5 stars) - Read the full Dustsucker - Jack Knife Rendezvous review

....Let's Go Sailing The Chaos In Order
It's up to the powers and the people to set sail on this cute (and beautiful) ride, or miss the beauty and allow Let's Go Sailing to drift aimlessly in the chaos of the currently flooded Indie Pop scene. (3.5 stars) - Read the full Let's Go Sailing The Chaos In Order review

....Eidolon - The Parallel Otherworld
Eidolon is a side project of Shawn and Glen Drover, drummer and guitarist respectively with Megadeth. Eidolon's music falls more along the lines of progressive metal, with lots of keyboard textures and more of the Dream Theater-styled, pseudo-operatic vocals.
