Atreyu Week: Lose it
antiMusic reports: Atreyu's new CD 'Lead Sails And A Paper Anchor' hits stores next Tuesday and to celebrate we asked Brandon to pick his top five favorite tracks from the CD and tell us a little about each one. Today he tells us about "Lose it". Here's Brandon:

"This was another one of my favorites. When writing this song it just felt like it had a great vibe. I was super excited that it made the record. It just came out so heavy and rad. I love it. It has always been one that I am psyched to play live."

Rocker Drugs Pet with Cocaine
antiMusic reports: Pete Doherty has hit a new low if reports are true that gave drugs to his pet kitten. A vet discovered cocaine in the feline's system and now the troubled rocker is reportedly being investigated for animal abuse.

The feline became ill (wonder why?) and was reportedly examined by a RSPCA (Royal Society for the Protection of Animals) veterinarian. When they ran a blood test to diagnose the problem, they discovered cocaine in the pet's bloodstream and alerted police, according to the Mirror.

A RSPCA spokesperson would not confirm that Doherty was the pet owner telling The Star simply, "It is a police matter, so we cannot deny or confirm the identity of the man who had the kitten removed. But it is very important to protect animals from substances that can do them serious harm."- more on this story

"High School Musical 2" the soundtrack to the Disney Channel TV movie enjoyed the second biggest debut week this year with sales of 615,000 copies. Linkin Park hold's the record with 623,000 first week sales of their latest, "Minutes to Midnight".

Ticketmaster Drops Live Nation?
antiMusic reports: Calling Pearl Jam. Ticketmaster will not renew its contract with the largest US venue operation, Live Nation, according to an internal memo.

According to the New York Times, Ticketmaster chairman Terry Barnes and CEO Sean Moriarty sent a memo to employees announcing, "Live Nation has been a valued client for a very long time and we believe we've taken every reasonable step possible to facilitate a renewal, but they seem intent on a direction for their business that leaves us no viable way to work together."

The two parties have been negotiating a renewal of their agreement that expires at the end of next year. A sticking point was reportedly how the two sides would split the excessive customer rape monopoly fees a.k.a. service and convenience charges.- more on this story

Elvis' Gun Has Not Left The Building, It Is In The Toilet
antiMusic reports: Remember that stolen Elvis gun we told you about? It was found in a portable toilet. Maybe it was a sick tribute by a twisted fan to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Elvis' death? As a popular urban legend has the King sitting upon his porcelain throne when he passed.

The gun was stolen from the Elvis After Dark museum in Memphis as fans marked the 30th anniversary of Presley's death. A janitor found the gun last Thursday while cleaning portable toilets but didn't realize that he possessed the King's gun.

The janitor, Travis Brookins, turned the gun over to police on Monday - more on this story

Smoking Stones Avoid Fine
antiMusic reports: The Rolling Stones aren't about to let a fascist law stop them from getting their satisfaction from nicotine. Two members of the band violated the UK's new smoking ban while performing at the O2 Arena.

Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood sparked up during their concert at the London venue in direct violation of the politically correct law and the operators of the venues feared a fine over the ciggies but Greenwich Council decided to let it slide. Perhaps they took the Stone's famous lyrics to heart and decided it wasn't worth it to impose a fine when it would question their manhood. (But he can't be a man 'cause he doesn't smoke / The same cigarrettes as me)

Our love for each other and our music has not diminished. It will always be there. I have no doubt that we could continue to write balls to the wall music. Maybe someday, but for now, it's just time for change.
"Chuck and Neil will continue to blow minds with their band, "Git Some". Gared will be writing/performing as 'Hawks and Doves'. (in collaboration with Matt Bellinger formally of Planes's) He also is putting together another band with some familier faces called HEXES. Kung Fu Sleeping
PR reports: "Everybody was kung fu fighting!" The Sleeping unveils an extraordinary new video for their break-through single "Don't Hold Back" from their record, Questions and Answers. Combining guerilla tactics, stealth filming and an urge for anarchy, the stage was set for the DIY video of the year! "Don't Hold Back" blends 1970s Kung-fu action with the film noir of cult classic The Warriors and tops it off with a whole lot of punching and kicking with a comedic touch.

"Sometimes in life, all the pieces just seem to come together," explains drummer Joe Zizzo on how the video finally came to life. "We knew we needed to do a video for 'Don't Hold Back,' because that's the song the kids really flip out to." The Sleeping has also known director, Adam Thompson, a very long time, thanks to their work on the band's first music video from their 2005 debut record, Believe What We Tell You. "We've known him forever and he's from Long Island too. He's been out in LA for a while now, and when he told him wanted to do a video, he came up with this idea to do a spin on The Warriors and old Samurai Sunday movies."

Shot entirely on film over the course of two days in the Chinatown district of Los Angeles, the crew set out to make a guerilla video of epic proportions. Armed only with a five thousand dollar budget, the band and director hit the streets filming without permits, collecting props from alleyways and dumpsters and literally stealing the phone from the wall. "We needed a phone, and the budget was gone," explains Zizzo. "We went to all kinds of thrift stores and couldn't find a thing. We needed something that looked right - finally we were in a department store, and we saw the customer service phone on the wall - so, Cameron just grabbed it and we ran out of there".
