Navarro Porn
antiMusic reports: With the Rock Star TV series going down in flames after a dismal season last year (thanks T-Bonehead), Dave Navarro had a bit of time on his hands and idle hands are the devil's playthings so Navarro is moving into a new entertainment medium: pornography.

Navarro has taken part in porn star Tera Patrick and her metalhead husband Evan Seinfeld's new porn series where they call on celebs to direct feature length porn movies. You can just bet it took a lot of arm-twisting to convince Dave to do it.

The former Jane's Addiction guitarist's film entitled "Broken" is set for release on September 27th by Patrick and Seinfeld's production company Teravision and stars teen porn star Sasha Grey.

Fake Bands Banned
antiMusic reports: New York lawmakers have tackled the most important issue of modern times, no it's not falling wages and rising cost of living, predatory lending or even illegal immigration. They have bigger fish to fry and they have targeted the biggest threat to western civilization: fake cover bands!

New York Governor Eliot Spitzer has signed the Truth In Music law which outlaws bogus bands from performing in the state under the name of established artists. The hairbands traveling the country with just their original bass player need not worry, this law only outlaws performing under a band name if the group playing does not feature any original members and if they get caught it could cost them a cool $15,000.- more on this story

Moz Rejects Smiths Reunion
antiMusic reports: Most people have a price but it looks like $75 million isn't enough to convince Morrissey to reunite with Johnny Marr for a Smiths reunion.

Morrissey's publicist told Billboard that Moz turned down a cool $75 million for a Smiths reunion that required guitarist Johnny Marr to take part. The offer was for a 2008 and/or 2009 tour according to the report.

This isn't the first time that Moz has turned down millions for a reunion. The Smiths reportedly were offered a multi-million dollar deal to perform at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.- more on this story

Muse Gets Licked
PR reports: Juliette and the Licks will join English rock trio Muse for a string of dates in September, leading up to their first headlining tour in support of recently released sophomore LP, "Four on the Floor" (The Militia Group).

The fiery quintet has been touring ceaselessly, from country to country, continent to continent, since the release of their debut in 2005, and just topped off a triumphant U.S. run alongside Chris Cornell with an intense performance at Lollapalooza. Clad in head-to-toe black vinyl, the lead Lick ended her assaulting set with a full on stage dive, ultimately standing on a sea of hands, like the warrior she is.

The band's headlining shows will begin in mid-October and run through late November.- more on this story

Droid Now Headlining Family Values 2nd Stage
antiMusic reports: California metal heads Droid have moved from opening the main stage at this year's Family Values Tour to closing the Guitar Hero Second Stage. This will give fans a chance to get up close and personal with the heavy hitters from Long Beach.

Guitarist Jamie Teissere had this to say about the move: "Since they've pushed us back, we haven't had a bad show. The energy is the way it should be! It's a lot easier to let people know we're going on later. We're playing in front of twice as many people, all concentrated in one area, instead of all spread out in a 20,000-seat amphitheater. Now we've got huge mosh pits with tons of people crowd surfing. We've even had a couple dudes carried out with broken legs!"

Also, from now until the end of the tour, Korn's James "Munky" Shaffer will be joining Droid at their signing booth.- more including tour dates

KISS Army Resurrected
antiMusic reports: KISS wants you! Or rather Gene and Paul want your money! As such the band is resurrecting their famed fanclub, the KISS Army, which was founded by diehard fan Bill Starkey back in 1975 with his attempts to get his local radio station to play the band's music.

This new KISS Army looks like more like a "discount on merch" club, at least that's the impression the announcement leaves us with. "The KISS Army - LOUD & PROUD since '75! KISS is proud to relaunch their legendary Fan Club - The KISS Army! In the spirit of the original club, the highlight of the new KISS Army is the Membership Kit which features the following Members Only Exclusive items: KISS Army T shirt, Membership Card, Metal Pin, Bumper Sticker, Guitar Pick, Temporary Tattoo and Dog Tag!

"Members also receive a $10 coupon and 10% discounts to the KISSOnline Shop, access to Members Only KISS merchandise, frequent KISS Army e-newsletters and access to amazing seats with our exclusive Fan Club Pre-Sales." No word on signed scripts from Gene's "reality" show.
