Collective Soul Week: New Vibration and Good Morning After All
antiMusic reports: This week we have a real treat for you. One of the best songwriting bands of this generation, Collective Soul, is releasing their new album 'Afterwords' this week and we asked lead guitarist Joel Kosche to select his five favorite tracks from the CD and tell us a little bit about each one. (Ed checks in on a few tracks too!). Today we conclude with two songs. Joel tells us about "New Vibration" and Ed tells us about "Good Morning After All".

Here is Joel with comments on "New Vibration": A great riff. That song has actually been around for awhile and almost made it on the "Youth" record. A fun song to play live.

And now Ed's tells us about "Good Morning After All": That one I wrote for my Mom. The strength she showed us during the time when we lost our father. You keep going. What keeps her going is her faith. 'You wake just to crawl/You stand just to fall/ But you say good morning after all.'

You can pick up 'Afterwords' at Target stores and iTunes now, plus see them on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Friday (August 31). You can preview the entire CD- right here!

Van Halen Add Date
antiMusic reports: BW&BK is reporting that Van Halen has added a new date to their reunion tour. At press time, there was no confirmation on this from the Van Halen camp. That being said BW&BK says that the band has booked a November 10th date at the The Bell Centre in Montreal, QC.

As we previously reported, this will be the first time that Roth will tour with Van Halen in 22 years (The 1984 tour). The group revealed during a press conference earlier this month that they have been rehearsing together for the past four months.

As if news of David Lee Roth joining his former Van Halen bandmates Eddie and Alex for a reunion tour wasn't enough, the band says that a new album may be on the way soon as well.- more on this story

Zeppelin Pirate Jailed
antiMusic reports: Led Zeppelin doesn't have a whole lotta love for bootleggers and neither does a Scottish judge as a man convicted of pirating the legendary band's music has been sentenced to 20 months in jail thanks to the testimony of Jimmy Page.

Robert Langley was arrested at following a record fair in Glasgow in 2005 where the UK's version the RIAA seized CDs and DVDs being sold by Langley that included £11,500 of counterfeit Led Zeppelin material, according to the BBC.

He originally challenged the charges but after Jimmy Page testified at his trial he changed his plea to guilty. "The legitimate part is where fans trade music, but once you start packaging it up and you do not know what you are getting, you are breaking the rules legally and morally," said Jimmy Page. - more on this story
