pr-inside reports: A burst appendix kept R&B star R KELLY from a scheduled appearance in a Chicago, Illinois courtroom on Wednesday (07FEB07).

The singer was expected at a hearing in his ongoing child pornography pre-trial yesterday (07FEB07), but had to be excused because he was recovering from surgery.

Lily Allen Vs Jet
pr-inside reports: British popstar Lily Allen sparked a mini-riot in an Australian club recently after she threw a bottle at JET's drummer CHRIS CESTER's head. The SMILE hitmaker got violent at the musician after he flicked a cigarette at her - but insists she has no recollection of the event because she was so drunk.

The singer, who is in the middle of her Australian tour, explains, "I managed to get into a fight with the band Jet. I wound Chris the drummer up the wrong way and he flicked a cigarette at me. Jadakiss Indicted
AP reports: Jadakiss, the rapper who wrote controversial lyrics about President Bush and the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on New York City, has been indicted on gun and drug charges.

Gigwise reports: Michael Jackson is on the road to a major comeback, again. 

This time the King Of Pop has chosen an odd combination of producers and promoters to help him on his way: the mind behind the Spice Girls and Pop Idol, Simon Fuller, and the director of High School Musical, Kenny Ortega.

Rush Plan CD / Tour?
FMQB reports: Canadian Rock superstars Rush are set to return later this year, with a new album expected to be in stores on May 1. Blabbermouth reports the record is tentatively titled Snakes And Arrows, and also has a handful of unconfirmed tour dates for the band. Warner Music Drop 74%
BBC reports: Warner Music has reported a 74% fall in profits for the final three months of 2006, following weaker album sales than in the same period a year earlier. 

The music group's net profits fell to $18m (£9.2m) for the quarter, compared with $69m for the same period in 2005.

Police Plan World Tour
BBC reports: Pop group The Police are expected to announce plans for a 30th anniversary world tour. 

The band will make a "special announcement" in Los Angeles on Monday - the day after they reform at the Grammy Awards.

After confirming their appearance at the Grammys, the group arranged a rehearsal session, which will be followed by the announcement.

Tickets will be be paid for and distributed by sponsors, such as Jägermeister and Monster Energy Drink. Bands will not be paid to perform and expenses will be covered from sales of food, drinks and merch.

Ozzy will headline all of the Ozzfest dates on the main stage. Those signed up to Ozzfest.com will get the info on how to obtain their free tickets first. Microsoft Corrupt iPod
tinfoil.music reports: Windows-using iPod owners have been advised to wait for the next release of iTunes jukebox software before upgrading to Windows Vista if they want to avoid "compatibility issues" between their favoured player and the new operating system.

According to Apple, these issues include an inability to play songs bought from the iTunes online store, an inability to update or restore iPod software, calendar and contacts synchronisation problems, and, worse of all, the corruption of data on the iPod.
