Boyband Arrest
Jam! reports: Boy-band mogul Lou Pearlman was forced out of hiding Thursday after being expelled by Indonesian authorities and turned over to the FBI to face criminal charges for bank fraud. 

He was flown to Guam to appear before a judge, officials said. 

Pearlman's arrest on one felony count of bank fraud ended several months of hiding for Pearlman, who created the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Cops Storm Concert
Contact Music reports: British band THE EDITORS' gig in Germany last night (13Jun07) was cut short after armed police stormed the venue demanding they stopped playing. The rising guitar stars were performing an encore at the Kulturkirche venue in Cologne, when armed officers stormed the stage "due to them being excessively loud".

Clarkson Cancels Tour
Jam! reports: Just two days after parting ways with her manager, Kelly Clarkson has cancelled her upcoming summer tour over disappointing ticket sales, yet another sign of turmoil as she prepares to release her third album, "My December."

In a statement on her website, Clarkson said: "In the craziness of the music business, performing is what I look forward to doing the most, so it really is disappointing for me to have to tell you that I won't be coming out to tour this summer. The fact is that touring is just too much too soon.

Roadie To The Rescue
Contact Music reports: A roadie for U.S. band GODSMACK has been hailed a hero after saving a woman from drowning in the Milwaukee River. 

Head carpenter John Jagielski was standing outside The Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Tuesday (12Jun07) when he heard people shouting.

Why Didn't Gene Simmons Think of This?
Launch reports: A series of vibrators inspired by Gorillaz are in the pipeline, it has been announced. 

The expensive sex toys have been designed by Jamie Hewlett, the artistic force behind the international pop phenomenon.

Fabolous Off the Hook
E! reports: A Manhattan judge formally dropped illegal weapons charges against Fabolous stemming from an incident last fall in which the hip-hopster was ambushed and shot in the leg. En route to the hospital, he wound up in police custody after officers found two loaded, unlicensed pistols in the car he was riding in.

"I wish I could tell you we're so happy, but the fact of the matter is these charges should never have been brought in the first place," the rapper's attorney, Alberto Ebanks, told E! Online. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

White Stripes Announce Free Show
Reuters reports: Tower Records may be dead, but its flagship outlet in Los Angeles still has some relevance to the music industry. 

Rock duo the White Stripes will perform a free show for about 200 fans next Wednesday at an "Icky Thump Records" store specially built on the landmark Sunset Strip site, a spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. PDT show will be made available to the first 200 people who buy the album at the store after midnight on Monday. A handful of tickets will also be given away this weekend through a radio station.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Absolute Garbage
CMJ reports: After almost a two-year break, Garbage are back with their first best-of collection, Absolute Garbage (Almo/Geffen), for a July 17 release. The 17 tracks featured span from the band's 1994 inception to their most recent release, 2005's Bleed Like Me. Complete with a DVD of music videos, tour footage and interviews, as well as a bonus disc of remixes from Felix Da Housecat, the Crystal Method and U.N.K.L.E., Absolute Garbage additionally hosts "Tell Me Where It Hurts," the newest song in the Garbage catalog.

Ryan Sinn Snags a New Gig

Lambgoat reports: Imperial has dropped off their current tour with Kingston Falls and Bringing Down Broadway. The group has issued the following statement:

"Our van started acting up early in the week and due to a few shows being cancelled we had very long drives to make that our van was not pleased to be making. Long story short we all have really bad headaches now and a broken van that we cannot seem to completely fix. Rocklahoma Adds 4th Day
Sleazeroxx.com reports: A fourth day has been added to Rocklahoma to kick off the largest '80's rock festival of its kind ever to be organized. The evening of Thursday, July 12, has been added and includes Tiger Tailz, one of Great Britain 's greatest glam rock bands, Hollywood Roses, a tribute band to Guns & Roses, KISS Army, the only KISS tribute band personally endorsed by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. In addition there will be a special jam performance by some of the '80's greatest musicians.
