Originally formed as a Swedish musical duo by The Cardigans front woman/lyricist Nina Persson and Atomic Swing musician Niclas Frisk, A Camp has since evolved into a trio with the addition of American film composer, Shudder to Think member, and Nina's husband, Nathan Larson. As the title Colonia suggests, the new album is a journey through a myriad of themes, events and ideas which have been prevalent throughout history and remain true today.
Colonia is the follow-up to A Camp's 2001 self-titled debut that was produced by indie superhero Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse and earned them 4 Swedish Grammies. Linkous returns to the A Camp fold for Colonia to add some slide guitar touches.

With Angel Lust, Fake Shark Real Zombie has continued to explore their musical potential in a very progressive manner – one that could indeed end up taking over the human race. The Vancouver based Quartet (which takes its name from a scene in Lucio Fulci's 1979 movie Zombie II) has found success touring outside of North America in places like Asia and the UK, and especially Japan, where their debut album, Zebra! Zebra!, was released by Vinyl Junkie Records in 2007. They are now looking to build on that success and increase their audience throughout Canada and the US.

The fresh musical movement known as Blue Turtle Seduction is a two-fold sonic experience. Both musically and socially aware, the five-piece rock / bluegrass / reggae / hip-hop hybrid creates music that defies classification. Their 2008 release, "13 Floors" was recently selected as one of the top 100 albums of 2008 at KTHX 100.1 radio. Nestled between legends such as Radiohead, Lucinda Williams and Joan Biaz, 2009 promises to be a big year for this South Lake Tahoe band.
Izabella is another California band to keep your eyes on. Their originals are dead solid with hooky lines and exultant, flowing music --- following in the Bay Area tradition of great forebears like the Sons of Champlin, Izabella is making national waves in a very short time.
