McCready Arrested Again

antiMusic reports: Country music's answer to Pete Doherty has done it again. TMZ has the story:Mindy McCready was just popped for the -- oh, hell, we've lost count.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the countrymess was just arrested for a probation violation -- she allegedly falsified info on her community service report.

Mindy turned herself into Williamson County, Tenn. Sheriffs on Monday night, and we're told she posted bail two hours later. - more on this story

Thin Lizzy Live Album Coming

Uncut reports: Thin Lizzy will release a new live album of their "UK Tour 75" including four unheard live tracks. The original recordings were made over one night for broadcast on the radio and the pristine �" master tape has been transferred and re-mastered with the band's supervision.

The 15-track album features the 'classic' Thin Lizzy lineup - Phil Lynott on vocals and bass guitar, Brian Downey on percussion, Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson

One of the rare tracks on the album is an early prototype version of the 'Cowboy Song' and a version of 'Little Darling', which was dropped from their live set soon after their 1975 tour. - more on this story

What's He Building In There? Tour

PR reports: Southern Ontario's newest progressive metal force What's He Building In There? have announced their upcoming cross Canada tour dates. The tour begins with a hometown performance in Waterloo, ON on July 10th and will spread through Western Canada with support on select dates from Vancouver's NinjaSpy.

The shows will be What's He Building In There?'s first with their two new members - Mason Tikl on guitar and Aiden Stevenson on bass - and will also be the first set of shows with former WHBIT? bassist Hal Jaques filling in guitar duties.

What's He Building In There? is touring in support of their self-titled debut album, released on Year Of The Sun Records last year. The album's genre bending eclectic sound has drawn comparisons to Between The Buried and Me, Mike Patton, Tool, and Primus, while their debut was named one of the Top 10 albums of 2007 by TheEndlessFeed.com who said the album was "essential for any tech metal enthusiast." - dates

Teddy Geiger Letting Fans Pick Songs For New CD

PR reports: Teddy Geiger is giving fans the opportunity to pick the 11 songs that will become his new album. The album will be the follow-up to Underage Thinking, Teddy Geiger's Billboard top 10 album from 2006.

Teddy has written 33 new original songs and by visiting this linkfans can listen to them, vote on which they like best, and buy non-DRM mp3s of as many as they want!

Geiger will also have nine songs on the soundtrack for The Rocker, a movie in which he stars as the leader of a garage band for which his uncle (Rainn Wilson from "The Office") plays drums. Christina Applegate also stars in the film which is due in theaters on August 1st. - dates

Sheryl Crow DVD

antiMusic reports: And for today's poorly written press release, we have this one about a new Sheryl Crow DVD that doesn't get around to mentioning her until the 2nd paragraph and mentioning that that is a DVD not a TV airing until the third paragraph! Guess they don't use the AP style guide over in the UK. And since the text of the release doesn't mention it, the UK release date is September 8th 2008.

Rock Against Diabetes Lineup

PR reports: Rock Against Diabetes announce the main event lineup, that will be performing in Las Vega is now complete. The lineup is as follows: The winner of the 2008 Opening Band Competition, Cliff Morrison and the Lizard Sun Band, Magnetico, featuring Rafael Moreira, LA Gun, LEatherwolf, Y&T, Richie Kotzen and Guns N' Roses guitarist Bumblefoot and hi All Star Band consisting of Jeff Berlin, Lez Warner, Constantine Maroulis, Paul Mirkovich and many more. The event will be hosted by Big Brother 8 winner, and CBS.com personality Evel Dick Donato.

The Death Set Tour

PR reports: The Death Set are playing select cities in July with The Mae Shi in support of their recent release, Worldwide (out now on Counter Records). Common AIDS Rap Winner

PR reports: Today, Hip-hop artist and actor Common and his Common Ground Foundation, in collaboration with the Kaiser Family Foundation and MTV, with support from Youth Speaks, announced today that 18-year old recent high school graduate, Jose Rivera from Ewing, Nebraska, was the winner of the A Minute lyrics contest to encourage young people to get tested for HIV.

Rivera's lyrics touting the importance of knowing one's HIV status bested more that 2,400 other entries submitted by young people throughout the U.S. The contest was developed as part of Kaiser and MTV's long-standing public information partnership on HIV and related issues, called It's Your (Sex) Life.

Jose's lyrics will be performed by Common in a one-minute video performance that will premiere Thursday, June 26th on MTV's TRL (Total Request Live) [nice of them to send us the news after it happened] in the lead up to National HIV Testing Day (June 27th) and will air throughout the summer on MTV2 and mtvU, MTV's college network, as well as be available on demand - more on this story
