Chris Brown Reportedly Assaulted Rihanna
Jam! reports: Chris Brown's ad campaign with Wrigley was suspended Monday until his criminal case is resolved, and reports surfaced that pop superstar Rihanna, his longtime girlfriend and a fellow no-show at the Grammy Awards, was the woman who accused him of assault.

The Los Angeles Times, citing law enforcement officials familiar with the case and other sources it did not name, reported that Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was the woman who told police that Brown had hurt her the night before the Grammy Awards.

A police statement released Sunday afternoon said Brown and an unidentified woman began arguing while riding in a car following a pre-Grammy party where they were spotted together Saturday night. - more on this story

A Toronto man who tried to buy two tickets to a November 2008 concert by the band Smashing Pumpkins alleges Ticketmaster's website said none were available, but redirected him to the website of the company's TicketsNow resale unit.

The tickets had a face value of C$66.50 each, but Henry Krajewski said he ended up paying a total of C$533.65 for the pair because he had to buy them through TicketsNow, according to the lawsuit filed in Ontario Superior Court. - more on this story

Skold vs. KMFDM
PR reports: KMFDM Records together with The Bicycle Music Company are proud to announce a new full-length album titled Skold vs. KMFDM. The release date is April 7, 2009.

Distribution is through KMFDM Records worldwide. Distribution for the album's digital release is through IODA. Skold vs. KMFDM was performed, engineered, recorded and mixed by Sascha Konietzko at KommandoZentrale in Hamburg, Germany and by Tim Skold at The Unabomber Shack in Studio City, California.

This collaboration was conceived in June 2008 and completed by early October. Notably the entire album was recorded without the two artists ever being on the same continent, much less in the same room. Konietzko explains "We constantly bounced stuff back and forth over the [FTP] server, and with a time-difference of nine hours between us, it turned out that one of us slept while the other one worked and vice-versa, and thus we got two full days of work done in just 24 hours." - more on this story

REPO! Road Tour Diary: Greenbelt
antiMusic reports: We've been telling you all about REPO! The Genetic Opera and the recent REPO! Road Tours. The third tour just wrapped up and REPO star and co-writer Terrance Zdunich (plays Grave Robber) gives us the lowdown! Here is today's entry from Greenbelt.

Tonight is our only midnight screening on Repo Road Tour 3, which is exciting. Exciting because 1) REPO! The Genetic Opera screams "midnight movie", and 2) this later start time means that maybe, just maybe, we'll be able to catch up on a little sleep before tonight's show.

January 16, 2009: It's 11:00am. We meet downstairs, check out of our hotel, and hit the road. Tonight's stop: Greenbelt, Maryland. Compared to yesterday's hellish drive from Foxboro to Rutherford, today's road ride is painless. Alexa drives again, and there are plenty of snacks, good conversations, & picturesque landscapes to occupy the time.

We arrive at our reserved hotel for the night, The Econo Lodge. It's late afternoon. From the road, we called ahead to confirm today's room reservations and got such an odd vibe from the rep on the phone, that we knew the hotel would present some problems. This suspicion is confirmed as we walk into the Econo Lodge's lobby, and inhale: it stinks. Bad. Plus, the hotel's clerk can't seem to figure out how to work his computer. We watch as he lets a stranger go in and use the bathroom in one of our potential rooms, and decide to cancel our reservations and relocate to the Howard Johnson's across the street. This upgrade costs a little more, but the expense is well worth it as I collapse onto my comfortable bed for the night, and pass out. - Read the rest of this entry
